Is not only the cross compilation. Maybe is not clear. As @Raziel said for example we have a moderng gcc. It simply doesn't work on huge projects. And i don't blame Sebastian because this is a free time project. And if he loose interest or doesn't have time to fix it is not a guilty.
Those tools must come from who wants to sell the software and or the hardware. We are not a huge community where someone can replace a good member easily. And year after year will loose someone.

And ExecSG? Do you think that exists in the world a platform where someone buy an OS and then must buy also a new kernel? or a new video driver? No. I doubt..
