Hum, can't Mpegalib be fixed? It's GPL. Stephan R. Should have the sources. Ok some time is needed but it's just a fix and shouldn't be too difficult to find.
It remains to know "who" of course.

There is something I forgot to mention about my system. I use 16bit screens but I'm not sure if that would affect the thumbnail images.
Amiga X1000 with 2GB memory & OS 4.1FE + Radeon HD 5450
