How do I access an usb cd/dvd writer?

Inserting a CD/DVD?
When T:USB.log doesnt contain an error message about
an unsupported command language, try some CD/DVD burning
software with usbdisk.device. Dont know if it works.

What is "device.audio"?

From Martin Blom's website:
Quote:
A new driver, device.audio, can be used to make all low-level AHI applications, which normally open AHI in exclusive mode, behave as if they used the high-level API which allows several AHI applications to work simultaneously.

You need to install device audio and device from the AHI package.

Once you have installed AHI and the most recent version of your audio driver from OS4depot:
(1)AHI prefs select unit#0 and choose a HIFI 16bit stereo ++ mode that matches your audio driver.
(2)Be sure frequency is set to 44100
(3)16 is ok for "channels"
(4)Do not raise Db leave at +0.0
(5)Input: Line in
(6)Output: Line out

Current version of device audio is V6.2 btw.

It's part of the AHI distrib and like for example emu10kx.audio is a driver for AHI. With this driver used for your Music Unit AHI preference you will be able to redirect (normally) blocking access to the AHI music unit to your first AHI unit for example thus making it non blocking. This way you will never have blocked audio anymore.... But I wold say RTFM, it's explained there

RTFM

Didn't bother to d/l the whole package since the AHI on OS4 final CD seemed to contail all that is out there and is relevant for A1...
Imho it should have been there, at least documented (AHI drivers were installed during the installation)

USB.log says:

E: [6A9CB4C0][MassStorage Device Task] | Massstorage Init | Command language 5 (SFF-8070i (floppy drive)) unsupported

Hmm. It presents itself as a usb floppy...
It is Samsung-Writemaster.
Should I develop any hopes?

Thanks,
Jack
