Missing symbols during printing [solved]

I have OS4 4.1.6, a sam Flex and postscript printer Magicolor 2550.

I must print some documents I made but some symbols aren't printed like "inter" used in function definition or probabilities. I hope you will understand.

I made some tests using Pagestream 4 (68k) and differents fonts.
Although the symbol is sometimes displayed on screen (depends on chosen fonts), it is not printed.

Any advice?

I have exeperienced similar problems with the characters ê Ê once when making a poster for my french tour (a gig in Angoulême).

I think it was down to chracter sets / codepages in the font at the printing stage (though in my case I was converting to PDF where it went atray).

After some tests, I succeeded in resolving my problem.
Here it is.
First, from the standard fonts directory, I removed the symbol font provided with Pagestream.
I replaced it with the symbol font in PFB format found in Mathscript.
Next, it seems that PGS does not like to manage too much fonts so I removed some (in the pgs font prefs).
Now the symbol are printed.

I hope this will help somebody someday.
