Just wanted to let you all know Neil Cafferkey has fixed a minor endian issue relating to broadcast frames that was causing issues in conjunction with a small amount of routers.

The device driver now fully works with any supported card (flashed to the right firmware) and connected to any router broadcasting 802.11b (whether b alone or a/b/g/n), in Unsecured, WEP 64/128bit ASCII/HEX, WPA-PSK TKIP/AES or WPA2-PSK TKIP/AES, hidden SSID or not.

The incoming data bug that existed when connected to some models of router has been fixed.

Best and most stable firmware to use is 1.7.4 ( http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/ ). Read site to make sure you flash to the right firmware type for your card.

I can't see any slowdown (due to encryption) on my Sam440ep-flex.

It's for both 68k and PPC. Send an email to caffer@cs.ucc.ie and let him know you're using 68k.

The original news story is here: http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57885 (also duplicate stories on the other forums with other comments)

I went for 1.8.2, couldn't see any negatives for going a little bit higher (and it's working great - would love to know what changed between 1.7.4 and 1.8.2 though). v1.8.4 has AVOID AVOID AVOID written all over it!

1.7.4 connects the quickest for me using a hidden SSID.
