My Amiga hd with all sources emails and so on is gone. :(

I can here it trys to spin up but then it stopps.

I is there any one here in Amiga land that has a

Looks good execpt the Firmware...

I found another 160gb, but it have diffrent firmware and model nr.. I have bourgth it so lets see if it works out.

1) I think you have a typo in the model number. There is no and never was any Seagate HD model ST3110023A. It must be ST3160023A if you have 160GB and the rest of the number is correct. The digits after ST3 usually tell about the size of the Segate HDs.

2) The firmware shouldn't matter.. if you get the very same model, the hardware should be the same. Especially higher firmware revisions usually only mean bugfixes. So you should be save with every HD of the same model as long as the firmware revision at least matches your revision.
I wouldn't use a model with older firmware because its very like more buggy.
