Sorry for the delay in replying. I asked Max and he told me:

"There is a workaround, that is to register the application multiple times, using, for example something like this as identifier:

NETSURF_DOWNLOADER.1
NETSURF_DOWNLOADER.2
NETSURF_DOWNLOADER.3
"
