Let me put it this way ...
If someone ever told you that their emulation is faster in performance tests than real PPC hardware, feel free to give them your test suite.
The benchmarks that are currently available do not reflect the true performance of emulation.
FluidSynth, even with a very small test bank of SF2 thanks, is not able to generate an approximation to the Sam460 - not even generate it.
The A1222 is omitted because it is ... a different approach to PPC hardware to put it mildly.
A year has passed, and I ran the M4 test from your package again.
As I had checked earlier on some x86_64 system and my old M1, the test was either impossible to run or extremely slow.
Now it works very well.
Apple's ARM chips currently deliver very high performance and good results in single-core performance.
With the M5, I think the performance will be on par with the FPU emulation found in Mirrari.
With the M6, it will approach the X5000 (in single-core performance) or surpass it this year, and the fastest AmigaNG will be the emulation (QEMU).
