Tried the old AmiFTP 1.843 on a 68k Amiga today
and it also crash when using sort by date.
So it´s an old bug.

Hi khayoz: Thanks for your report. In my case, it works but if i close the App it crashes.

I will forward it to frank and he will make a new bug entry at github. If he finds the time, he will fix it.
