Just like Swamp Defence it looks really well presented, but just like Swamp Defence, it is a clone of a game that I really don't like

If they made a slick modern clone of the C64 game sensitive or something like that, I'd be all over it

There is a new build of SDL on the OS4 SDL google code download page.

End-users should be able to update via AmiUpdate if they prefer. Developers can grab the SDK from the link above.

See the google code change log for changes since the last release (last release was revision 37).

There is also a port of DASM for OS4.

I've released a small update to Pete's FTP on os4depot.net. Its only minor so it doesn't really warrant a news item.

Changes:
- SFTP transfers are now a bit faster.
- Passing "-a" to FTP list commands is now optional
since not all servers support it (thanks to Alexandre
Balaban)
- No longer sends a CWD command with no path if the
initial path is not specified (Thanks to kas1e and
Cyborg)

Even if there isn't a driver for the port, the protocol is very simple. I've written a few drivers for i2c/spi devices with my job before now. Acube should be able to provide documentation.

This kind of bench mark is even more meaningless than most benchmarks. DOS scripts aren't designed for speed.

Yes, its my code. But its only a proof-of-concept. It doesn't run much more than some very simple exe's.

No it can't be downloaded anywhere, and you don't want it anyway.

Well, in theory, its certainly possible, but in practice is a massive job that would require far too much work.

Much better to concentrate on bringing better software to OS4 than to spend a long time creating something like this.

Hmm.. maybe i should change the default action of Cranu such that if you drag a drawer on it, and the drawer has an associated icon, it'll default to including the icon in the archive.
