The biggest problem with Gorky17 on A1200 is memory requirements and slow BlizzardPPC/Mediator combination. At some point this might change, if/when improved R200 drivers are released. I am going to do so tests for Daniel MuBener on my A1200 soon. So let's wait and see :)

Work is being undertaken to update this title, stay tuned :)

It is possible to do something similar but it requires a programmer to actually do it.. and those are hard to find lately ...

I do pass around Zelzate, from there and back its + 35km

I dont think any PCI card works well in a micro A1 ... Unless you disable onboard IDE DMA and USB..

Why dont you go all the way, go for an Installer and add a DONATE button :)

Please try the following:

in startup-sequence right AFTER setpatch type

c:run >NIL: c:cpu noexternalcache


and just use dhcp


this disables l2 cache but it worked for other people i have asked to try

perhaps it works for you aswell ?

And it would give us a better clue.

It doesnt support overlay in the way most other gfx cards do it.

the Cybergraphics team used a neat trick to emulate it, i think they used 2 triangles they draw with the 3d chip.

You should ask Frank Mariak or Mark Olsen they know how it works.

For this to work on OS4 it would require using Warp3d for example.

Its very sad you dont know the technical specifications of your graphics card.

The permedia2 does not support Picture in Picture or Overlay in hardware.

On Cybergraphics they used the 3D capabilities to simulate a Picture in Picture by using triangles.

Simple as that...

Its a known issue that also happens with a PicassoIV and Dvplayer.

Overlay does work with Mplayer so i suggest you try that.

It would be interesting to know if other PCI equipment works that doesnt use DMA ofcourse.

What happens if you only disable voodoo3.chip and keep pcigraphics enabled. make sure you have NO Elbox drivers running then otherwise they will interfere.

Its important when you report problems that we know EXACTLY what is going on. and that no other 3rd party drivers interfere.

If for example disabling voodoo3 already makes the system boot in AGA we know a bit more.

If that doesnt work we can assume its something in pcigraphics. MAYBE
