I installed update version 3 and now your driver installs and works too! (smile)

My x1000 has a 8169..
When I switched over to your driver, this is what I got

could not open "pa6t-eth.device "unit 0
(device/unit failed to open)

I read the on/off thread doesn't seen to be my issue?

The good thing is that you can use AmigaOS and MorphOS on the HD6670 (I think)

You need to set up your ethernet hardware..

Go to the internet drawer select new connection..
follow the prompts

after that you can use apps like amistore..etc

So I knew I had 2015.c
But I left verbose for the update, didnt think to change it back

I wasn't ready to change video cards as I still want to use MorphOS and the RX cards are not usable (sigh)

I just today updated to 2015.c sucessfully (kind of)

My sam460LE reports 2015.c in place but unlike others i updated because of the usb and interface improvements.

But my screen still shows the old interface and Ranger reports 2015.b even though UBoot reports 2015.c

Do I have to upgrade my video card (Radeon 4650) to see the other improvements?

The clues bring us to asking for what is setup in your KickLayout file? It should include FastFilesystem, CDfilesystem, NGFile System, and SmartFile System on a X5000

What did you do to make your system unstable?

Well that card is older, but it works on OS-4, Morph and Linux.
And it is compatible with the CD install.
this makes things (more) simple.


Try something and remove the hard drive to protect the info
Then just boot from the cd.
You can learn how to OS-4 from the cd boot (smile)


My response to your Fienix question is the same..get a hard drive and Make your life easier (But Since you can run it from the usb stick..even if it's really slow compared to a hard drive.

Just follow the excellent instructions (see Fienix page) that you got when you bought or downloaded the image. I bought the usb version.

BTW, did you look at Epsilon site (lots explained)

Save some cash (no lattes) and get that newer hard drive

You have waited this long. Just buy a sata drive.

Shops like newegg have small (just fine for a OS-4) sata drive as cheap as $30

If you spent as much as I did on a X5000 and you really want a stable OS-$ system.

Take your time and build it to make life easy.
