Hi Raziel, > What you mean is the "lasso"... OK, that's an interesting concept! Thanks. Someone mentioned 'ant parade' earlier. So, any ideas on how Workbench might get caught in this infinite loop? I'm a sucker for ContextMenus.

Hi Valiant, You mentioned: A stupid question I know, but how do you use .png icons in OS4?Really? OS4 showed up around here July 2004. PowerIcons showed up two months before that! I think there's something wrong with your hat!

Crawling ant? Well, THERE'S your problem! I think that's what it is called. Hold down the LMB on the WB and start dragging. What would you call that animation? Anyway, I'll start a lot work: three or more windows, and NotePad and a shell route. It doesn't happen all the time; just a certain condition triggers it. @ SSolie, Something triggers it. In the interest of OS4 science, I'll continue to smash my thumb!

Crawling ants lockup?

Hi Chip and all:
Did anyone ever run across a 'crawling ant' lockup?
When using ContextMenus, I get this. It's not a GR, but I have to reset the OS. It usually happens with a couple windows open and NotePad. It usually occurs from a call to the shell and a return to editing and/or a click to ContextMenu... oops...here come the parade of ants.
Who's causing the mishap? Intuition, ContextMenus, NotePad ? Anyway to trace this down?

Hi all,
I've seen AmiKit of the XPs via WinUAE and wow! But, when you try the same thing on OS4 via Euae, gack! Ah, it's all about that JIT compiler? Any other speedup alternatives around?
One speedup that I compared AK to and that AIAB -- AmigaInABox. AIAB is OS3.1 and Scalos 41.3 and whole lot faster than AK. I don't have data at hand to support that, but just appears to me as so! AmiKit will speedup by killing off all of the WBstartups.
Anyone else got any thought on this?

Hi Joerg,
Nice technical answer!
NTFS isn't supported by CrossDOSFileSystem, and AFAIK there is no NTFS implementation at all for AmigaOS, ....
I'm curious! What would I need NTFS for? I thought that belonged to Window's NT system. I see a FAT convertor for FAT disks to NTFS at MS. Any good?
