I said "we need good drivers" only because performance are not outstanding and it seemed to me, probably i am wrong, a driver issue with R200 drivers. For what is worth you did a wonderfull job for me, Amiga is still alive and it is a miracle.

I'm just saying that it could be a driver issue as well, since some users experiencing the problem and other not.

There is a guy working on it but he doesn't have an OS4 capable machine, i'm sure when OS4 will be released with some hardware, he will work on a fixed port.


BTW i had a Radeon 9250 64bit, before a radeon 9200SE, same problem. I don' have anything, it happens with a clean OS4 installation and i usually don't install anything strane on my sistem. I had 512MB, since i don't have my A1 anymore i can't test anything now.

Yup i agree. We need at least one 3D "modern" shooter. Quake 3 i a classic available for all platforms and played a lot even nowdays.

Me and my friends often organize little lan to play Q3, i would be glad to use also my Amiga toghter to my Mac.

Yes, comment or remove Cygnix assing and Quake3 will run.

Anyway Q3 for OS4 crash and freeze your machine after a random time. It happes to the majority of users i dn't know if it is a Q3 issue or Warp3D one.

I think AmiUpdate should be part of OS4 installation, an update tool integrated into the system let developers make sure users are notified about their software updates, and users use lastest version and if it is included by default into the system, a lot of developers will use it. It will create an easier way to keep our system up to date, an easir OS for users, and better feebback for developers (they know users use last version and not a bugged old one).

Can we make a poll about it?

I think you should blame Amiga Inc. Sam is here, ready to ship, small and nice. But you can't run OS4 on it now, maybe SAM can already run OS4t but the court case is still open and i doubt we can read any announcement... anyway Evert Carton is coming... i don't expect any big news, but maybe a little update.
