Embed a "ClockWindow" specifically for time display at the place required and set it up with a "transparent" rastport?

Would that work?, no title, no gadgets, no border anything...
just enough to display the relevant text and that is all?

I recall the instance of GimmeZeroZero and "Backdrop" flags in Intuition for such things... would they help?

What is required for additional language drivers to show as selectable in the input and locale preferences?

Re: Problem with input/locale

@Kas1e: This is exactly the problem I ran into with mixing Japanese with English on Linux, Windows and Android systems.

The presentation and input of given languages are not based on where the locale settings are based.

Just because I live in Japan does not mean I know the language,
Even with your own English/Russian combination where you have comprehension of both... this assumption with location and languages is annoying and detrimental.

As you have stated, you want the favored languages to not have interference from other locale settings.

Kas1e: Excellent work in getting it this far...

Any way to make a modified "filetypes.module" for editing the Devs:DataTypes/Descriptor Files as a GUI for that?

Or is that a bit too esoteric an ask?

I would agree with a +1 / -1 system,

can this be an issue tracker feature?
geared towards user feedback?

Re: Source code of Timberwolf ?

Well, I for one am prepared to wait a while...

I know how little time I have for my own projects so I decided to make the sources public.

As for TimberWolf... I would be glad to see any publishable material ... or even a small comment but that is not required.

Considering the amount of negative feedback a lot of devs get for posting comments at all I would be surprised if the freidens actually commented or replied.

I personally don't give a damm anymore what anyone says negatively at me... it can all go to the trashcan/bitbucket /dev/nul or whatever the eqiuvalent is...

I'll plod along until I get a result I am happy with.

No wonder the community is fractured.

@Kas1e:

I've got a registration and access to the SVN on OpenAmiga for a different project...

You need to sign up for a username/password at least and ask for the extended svn to be setup on a per-project basis.

not a public svn because there may be "sensitive" materials put into the svn afaik.

I haven't seen any such however if sources there may become part of AOS4 and require to be retained as "trade secret" material without nominal public access

Ask a lawyer for clarification however maybe I misunderstand?

can you not add an Interface reference in addition to the Library reference pointers and fill it in locally for every structure concerned (where they are private)?

you can then localize "DOSBase" and "IDOS" references keeping the "__USE_INLINES__" for the function calls and fixing the relative usages when they get too strange right?

I've got one codebase where I need at least three sets of opening libraries and obtaining Interfaces within a single project.

and the dopus5.library from your description sounds eerily familiar to what I am overcoming for the same kind of problem

Re: Sylpheed stealing e-mail

I have Yam installed as well using Gmail as my primary Email provider.

There are settings at the Gmail end for how you want it to behave in the POP3/IMAP settings.

The trouble is anything marked "spam" is sent to the Gmail spam folder and deleted after 30days... "just in case" you spam mark something you want...

I'm willing to screenshot some settings and send those to you if you are interested?

but I have a small mountain of filters at Gmail as well as in Yam that work together...

Also Gmail keeps "archive" copies of Email until set to actually delete what it is told.

Re: Amiupdate and Autoinstall

How do I tell AmiUpdate what programs I actually have installed without relying on the auto-find mechanism of searching the AppDir: ?

I am using TimberWolf actively yet it is not seen by AmiUpdate... is this a bug?

I also use datetime.docky along with TuneNet and these are also NOT seen by AmiUpdate

Yam tells me I have updates for MUI components as well which are also not seen...

is it possible to add any kind of mappings for any of these?

Is MUI: assumed to be Sys:MUI as a fixed pathing?

Re: I.... hate AmiDock...!

You are faced with a problem which I will also need the solution for...

The current plans for Perception and Polymorph will need me to create a menu from button arrangement on AMIdock as well

As I will be taking settings from locale and adding extra options...

However I have the extra step of needing to create an always open and always on top dock that is always following the user to the frontmost screen

As I am splitting my projects into libraries...
I am making a docky by that method...

Are any of the standard docky sources going to be an open to read example?

If you solve this issue... May I see how?

This is the result of the startup code programs get compiled with

If you bypass startup code and offer your own replacement...

This may be the only way to dictate exactly what environment your program has at launch

That would be somewhat standard compared to what I have done in custom building my own chassis with only the contents such as PSU, boards and drives being standard...

I am going to rebuild an even more customized chassis after a new 3D printer...

But all that is awaiting time when I have it and don't have a lot of details to triple check for existing coding projects...

Re: How to know if a port is a ARexx port ?

I only know how to get a ports list in rexx which is different to what you want

What about getting an arexx port list result and processing that?

You only need to know that the arexx and rexx msgports exist

Would that work for you?

/**/
Address REXX; Echo Show(P)

Is what I can think of right now
