Is there a program like IsoBuster for AOS4?

Turn the gfx render to SW. I think some cards lack these features.
I have a Radeon 9250, and it`s unplayable with sw rendering (Sam440@800).Maybe another version that is more compatible with older cards?

I thought the optimal swap would be physical memory x2, but this does not aply to AOS due to its memory address space.
So to get this sorted out : 1GB physical memory (Sam440F) + 2GB swap, the swap gets totally ignored or just the half size of it?

Anyhow, I reduced the swap partition size to 1024MB (reported as 1023.984MBytes, blocksize 4096, 43693 cylinders) but it still gets "out of memory" message. The .7z file contains 1.4GB in 5 files (2 of them 700MB+ , .iso files).

I`m currently using the 7-Zip plugin ( | ---- | 13 | 2.5 | FILE,EXTERN,FREE(FI) ) , and "not enough memory" message pops up!.
I`ve tried the 7zip v4.16 & v4.65 binaries (locale=C,Utf16=off,HugeFiles=off,1 CPU)
, which both fail with "Unsupported Method" message.

What is the proposed solution in AOS?

I`ve checked my .uaerc#? files, and .uaerc_RunInUAE is the one that contains all the JIT parameters.
As for the Shared Settings, nomatter Default JIT setting is (enabled/disabled), the result was always enabled.
This must be attributed to different UAE dir and .exe path.
Using the menues to change .exe works fine (RunInUAE.cfg) but won`t update the local .uaerc#? files ( instead saves to the installation defined UAE dir ).

I did an Advanced installation in order to keep my old binaries. Maybe I should have run Uninstall first, and then go as you suggested.

OK, just run a couple of tests with RunInUAE beta.
Regarding the game, it runs ok without JITand it crashes with JIT enabled after the Scoopex logo, just before the EAB screen appears. Should be some kind of 68K specific loader?!

Now about the beta version: I have the latest release with the OS update installed. I`ve downloaded the beta and installed it over the old one.
What happens now is that the JIT global settings are ignored, I had to create a local file ( Where.Time.Stood.Still_Amigav1.0.ADF.uaerc_RunInUAE ) in order to disable JIT.

I`ve unpacked e-uaeJITv4 to ram: , set the uae .exe path as the JIT`s drawer but an error poped up
"That folder does not contain the required ".uaerc_RunInUAE" config file. The new setting was not stored!"

My specific config:

Now the env vars, I think they are superfluous or may complicate the things:

RunInUAE_wbpath

RunInUAE.cfg defines the exe`s path, so RunInUAE_uaedir might be a problem source in my case.
The settings were ignored or saved to RunInUAE_uaedir ( E-UAE-amigfx drawer), regardless of the UAE binary selected (JIT, amigfx or SDL).

I think that it`s a bit complicated because of my configuration.

There seems to be an issue with URL system handling. The various URLs/links were handled differently on IRC (AmIRC/WookieChat) and mailers (YAM mainly), with different results each time, depending on the configuration ( open 2nd session browser with all tabs plus the link clicked, ignore link if browser already open, etc).
I compromised by deleting the external handling program and using the system one, plus some script IIRC...

I hope that a 4.2 release will have an homogeneous program URL handling with constant and replicable results on link clicking.

I`ve tested the latest release "Where Time Stood Still" adf image with RunInUAE and PPC-JIT v4, though I didn`t install your beta yet.
PPC-JIT crashes, and works with E-UAE-amigfx.

Mice & KBs are for testing the functionality, too much hustle just for it.
On the other hand, many devices like the Wii remote or file transfer from smartphones need the BT stack in order to get done...
Many devices like the RaspberryPi have a BT stack under linux kernel. I think this part is closed sourced, am I right?
Looking forward to seeing an Amiga version.

It`s an old issue, and latest VICE version won`t run properly.

It`s very easy to replicate the problem.
Rename your "RAM Disk:au.log" (could be any file) text file to "AmigaWorld_#amigans" (Workbench, RightAmiga&R) and try the various tools on it using the ContextMenu.

Regarding FastCompress, it`s more of the native compress tools issue than the gfx interface, here are some things that I`ve noticed lately:
I`ve tried to compress some .txt files in the WookieChat/Logs/ directory, specifically the IRCServer_#Channel logs. 7zip & zip did well, lzx exit with a null file and lha looped indefinetly. I think this has to do with the way native wildcards in filenames are handled (the # before tha channel name).

What about sys:Prefs/URL program?
I`m using YAM and it seems that after clicking a URL in a mail while browsing, a new Odyssey session opens (it`s already running, and starts again!) with all the preexisting tabs, plus the newly clicked!
Should I change any prameters in the prefs/url ? Can I choose if URL or Open URL will handle the browser (which one has precedence over the other?) ?

I`m currently using v1.37.
My TOOLTYPES were all bracketed, so POPWINDOWDELAY=25 helped a bit. The problem is that if i press VUP e.g. twice, fader pops up and moves a single step , then it lags as it has to wait (POPWINDOWDELAY), close fader and pop up again for the second step.
I have the impression that v1.36 kept fader open (no extra drawings) and just moved the slide button according to the keys pressed (check yourself this out).
I`d be happy to test your beta version (mail sent).

My Sam is partitioned and full of Amiga SW, any chance to try a live CD distro?

P.S. There is lack of repartitioning sw, in order to keep the existing data safe..(no, backing up on many DVDs and recopying back to new partition is not a solution)
