I have had similar problem with both JXF and SFS/2, the problem occured after lots of copy/delete operations. I eventually got read error as well. I copied whatever I managed to save and had to reformat the disk and everything was ok.
The SFS and JXF use a ".recycled" map where it puts everything you delete into, and when harddisk eventually is full it has to delete from ".recycled" drawer to make room for the new data. I Suspected it to be a fault in this stage, because now later I have deleted the contents in .recycled drawer and it has never happened since.

I will fully support writing of version 1 tags, but I will use one guiset for both. Maybe have an option to specifically specify id3v1 tags since they got a restriction of their length.

Yes this is possible and is planned in the future, but will take some time before I implement that. I need the basic functionality and usability sorted out first.

Yes, the slowiness of reading tags is due to a little mistake I had done in the code. after reading the picture tag it was searching byte by byte in the file which was causing the slowiness, I am working on this now and would upload the new program so you could try if it has been fixed

I am about to finish off first step of Music Tagger, it now supports ID3 Version 2 tags including Pictures. I would like someone to test it properly before I release it. Anyone interested in doing this ?

This is great that a company outside the Amiga environment might do this. I don´t use spotify, but I´m in for the bounty and are also going to pay for their services if this happens :)

The SATA controller speed must be improved so we can burn DVD's at a decent speed, and also be able to multitask at the same time. This and support for usb2 should be fixed.

Hardware clock

I have a dualboot system with Debian and OS 4.1 Update 2. After messing around with linux it managed to set the hardware clock to an invalid setting which resulted in Uboot screen showing time from the year 2070. When trying to boot OS 4.1, the workbench screen never appears. I try to install from scratch with my original 4.1 cd and same happens. I then managed to set the hardware clock correct again in linux and everything installed fine and working again.

The Amiga OS won't start up if time settings are invalid for any reason (not even the original OS cd, because it looks for time settings in the beginning of installation).

Yes, I have plans of supporting FLAC and eventually other tags, but wants to get the mp3 tags fully supported first.

Would just let you know that I have started on a music tagger project and the first alpha is finished. But before I put it on OS4Depot I would like to hear if somebody is interested in bugtesting it ?!
