I have a A4000 with Cyberstorm 200Mhz, 128MB RAM and a CybervisionPPC card. My netcard is an Ariadne and I have a Delfina Lite soundcard.

All in all a nice system that OS 4.0 runs fine on.

My OS 4.0 install is more a less straight of the box. No tweaks ore nothing.

Are their ways (besides installing SFS) to speed up the system?

Is there a order you have to install the OS'es in if you want a OS 4.0 / OS 3.9 dual boot?

I have OS 4.0 running on DH0: Works fine.

I have MorphOS for Power up on DH1: Works fine also. Eventhou OS 4.0 is much faster

I recently installed OS 3.1 on DH2 and that worked fine also. (once again thanks to all who helped me getting my CybervisionPPC to run)

But when I try to install OS 3.9 on DH2 it installs fine but if I do a cold reboot it goes back to loading OS 4.0 from DH0: after the reset and I can't get to it from the boot menu.

I have a hunch that the ROM update is not as smart in OS3.9 as in OS4.0 and that OS 3.9 has to be placed before OS 4.0 on DH0: but that is only a hunch.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Well I made a reinstall of os3.1. Installed the, as far as I know latest 68040 and 68060 librarys (se above for the source), installed IDEfix-97 to get the CD-rom going. Updated the installer with the one on the Cybergraph 4.0 CD. Installed Cybergraph 4.0. Rebooted. Still no screenmodes and still no reaction from CGXmode in prefs. Updated Cybergraph to 4.3 r6. Rebooted. Still no reaction from cgxmode and still no screenmodes.

I used the script on the Cybergraph CD to get a report and got the below. I hope anybody can see the error. I am beginning to lose hope here.

Finnally something worked . The Cgxboot disc worked fine.

I have gtlayout. And a update didnt make any difference.

I have also installed newicons but that didnt do any difference either.

As far as I can see there are no requierements for Cybergraph besides the installer you use.

I have tried snoopdos but it only tells me that cgxmode is changing directory. No missing things etc.

I will do a reinstall - once more - and see if that makes any difference.

When i doubleclick CGXMode nothing happens!!

I have checked that it is set to Executable.

The strange ting is that the tool types are completely garbage.

The top line says dont edit the following lines and then the rest says IM1= and then a lot of crap.

Are they supposed to look like that?

Can I use Picasso with a CybervisionPPC? I did'nt think i could.

Well I have bought Cybergraph 4.0. Installed it on a fresh 3.1 setup and updatet to the latest 4.3b R6. Everything installs fine.

Still it will not show any screenmodes in screenmodes from thw CybervisionPPC card, and there is just a black screen when I connect my monitor to the Cybervision output.

When I doubleclick on showcgxconfig I get:

I have installed the latest 68040 and 68060 librarys (http://powerup.amigaworld.de/index.php?lang=en&page=13) and have flashed the Cyberstorm to the latest firmware.

My OS 3.9 CD is not the greates anymore so I thougt that I would start with OS 3.1 and then see how it went.

Btw.: Is an upgrade to CyberGraph 4 worth the money?

Sorry about that missing info. I am using the "CyberGraphX V3 Graphic Boards driver for CyberVisionPPC".

As far as I know this should include everything needed.

Do I - besides the CyberGrapX V3 drivers - need a install discs or something like that?

Forgot to write that the cards work fine in OS4.0 and MorphOS for PowerUp.

So I think it is software.

I will Flash the ROM tomorrow but I think it is the latest.

This is proberbly a stupid question but how do I get my CyberVisionPPC graphicscard to work under OS3.1?

I have installed the latest Cybergrah drivers for this site: http://powerup.amigaworld.de/index.php?lang=en&page=14

And everyhing seems to install fine but when I reboot there are no screenmodes and when I doubleclick showgfxconfig I get

"0 graphics boards installed"

And when I doubleclick Cgraphx Mode i get:

"The specified card is not installed or there is no driver availible"

I will try to change the tool to Installer Delfina install.info and see if that works.

As you correctly writes the included installer starts just fine. The guru comes when it gets to unpacking the lzx archives and copying them (about 25 % in).

When I have installed the software will I then be able to select the Delfina card as output in AHI?

Has anybody succeded in getting a Delfina Lite soundcard to run under OS 4.0 for classic?

First let me stress that I have very little experience with soundcards on Amigas.

I have a A4000 with CSPPC, CSPPCVision, Ariandne and a Delfina Lite with OS 4.0 running nicely.

My problem is that I can't get the system to install the drivers so that I can use my Delfina Lite soundcard.

When I try to run the installer (found version 4.15 on http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/delfinalite ) I get an guru (80000003) saying that the included installer (433) wont run.

I have tried to change the installer with the one from OS 3.9 and the one in OS 4.0 but both hangs.

I have unpacked the install files but I am a bit unsure where to put what.

Anybody knows how to get a Delfina Lite soundcard running on OS 4.0?
