Just curious ...

I notice a boing ball at the top right of your screen, some icons down the right side, and a calendar at the bottom right.

I know that the calendar is a running Enhancer Calendar.

Are the boing ball and other icons on the right side on a vertical dock or minimized programs?

Also, I do not see a notification message.
Maybe the notification server is turned off.

Hopefully someone with an X5000 will respond.

Perhaps something was corrupted in the download.

Enhancer Software Installer seems to work ok on my MicroA1.

I get beyond the point shown in your video.

I see the Enhancer Software Welcome splash screen,
followed by a notification message.

"Proceed" button and "Exit Enhancer Software Install" button.



I clicked the "Exit Enhancer Software Install" button, because I don't want to accidently overwrite anything on my system.


I installed selected portions of Enhancer Software 2.2 on my system quite a while ago and I have used Updater for some updates that have become available since that time.

I also use E-UAE on my OS4 system to emulate AmigaOS 3.2.2.1.

In my case, I use full screen mode so it looks like the Classic Amiga has taken over the system.

Since my system is a MicroA1 with 256 MB RAM and onboard Radeon 7000 graphics with 32 MB graphics RAM, I keep things very simple to conserve system resources. For example, I don't use compositing effects.

But, it is very interesting to see what can be done with a powerful machine.

I am assuming that your AmigaOne X5000 is a dual boot system, where you can use AmigaOS4 or MorphOS.

If you use two hard drives, one for AmigaOS4 and the other for MorphOS, I would say there is a problem with your OS4 hard drive. Errors or some form of corruption. Or maybe a loose power cable or loose sata cable.

Maybe someone familiar with this kind of system can help if there are other possibilities.

I installed AmiCygnix many years ago at a time when there was active development going on with the actual AmigaOS4. I don't remember why I quit using AmiCygnix. Probably just busy with other stuff.

Thanks for keeping us updated on progress of Final Writer.

I have been using Final Writer 97 for many years on my AmigaOS4 system.

If it is possible to use the scroll wheel on my mouse with the new version,
I will be very happy. Otherwise, I like the existing Final Writer GUI.

Since I have many apps that use MUI, I am not concerned about MUI or ReAction window wrapper.
I currently use Final Writer 97 on its own screen anyway.

In my own specific case, I have three computers and a printer hooked up to my router. All three computers share the same printer.

Two Windows computers and my MicroA1 OS4 computer

HP OfficeJet 4560 printer

MicroA1 running AmigaOS 4.1 FE Update 2 Hotfix
- using HP Photosmart - HP PCL3GUI printer driver from OS4Depot
- using NetPrinter v 1.15 from Aminet.

- FinalWriter 97 prints ok
- NotePad prints text file ok
