The SLB supports this already, it just doesn't work on the SAM. The RDB filesystem IDs for Linux are different on the SAM Linux install to that needed on the old AmigaOne Linux install, so I suspect all that needs doing is an extra line of code to check another filesystem ID. If it helps the devs, the SAM Linux boot filesystem is EXT\03 (maybe it needs formatting as EXT2 as well, but on the AmigaOne the filesystem ID was something irrelevant like LNX\00)

I found Epistula on OS4Depot and Aminet which claims to be a plugin-based IM client for AIM/ICQ/etc... but it doesn't actually come with any plugins, and I can't find any to download anywhere.

Now you just need to install the new boot loader on acubes website so you get a boot menu with both linux and AOS4 in it.

The boot loader is called "parthenope" and can be downloaded from acubes website and installed with hdtoolbox under OS4.

Its the new boot loader that has been giving me the slow OS4 boot issue so I have unistalled it at the moment and only install it when I want to use Linux. As not everyone is having problems with it it may just work without slowing down the loading of the OS4 kernel and modules like it dose for me.

I guess I didn't explain it well enough in the manual - you should NOT copy .uaerc_RunInUAE for *ADFs* because that config is designed for Workbench. For ADFs you need to create an *empty* config file, only which holds the changes you want to make to the main .uaerc file (such as loading new disks).

Perhaps it would be less confusing if ADFs did *not* use FILENAME.uaerc_RunInUAE files, but used FILENAME.uaerc instead?

Also, you can have a special config file for ADFs, but you would *not* usually copy the main ".uaerc_RunInUAE" file, because that is intended for Workbench.

Just pulled up my YAM config. Gmail DOES use SSL encryption, I'm not sure if simplemail supports this. (The last guy got it to work apperently, though I can't read French, and neither can Google, despite what they claim. ) Anyway, the SMTP is pop.gmail.com port 465 and it uses SSLLv3 Authentication. The POP3 settings are for the same server (pop.gmail.com), only on port 995 instead. My ISP switched over to Gmail instead of maintaining their own POP server (Beacuse TDS are a bunch of cheap a$$ $&^*%^%@@!!!), and I'm still using "their" email to send stuff. The server/port settings should still be the same, though.

EDIT: Looks like K-L shows the right settings for downloading from Gmail, but he's using a different server to send mail. (The SMTP stuff)
