Re: OWB 1.12 available

Home away from home

I think most of the problems comes from not installing the .so files, did every one having problem install the .so files, SDL shard objects and libcu and libsdl.

@joerg

Your web browser is working well on most sites, but some sites the browser freezes, and I was thinking that might be crashing because of bug in JavaScript engine, can you add an option to disable JavaScript?
And a reload page button, where useful on form sites, if some thing has changed.

@Paul

Well often when electricity stops during winter, it because ice has formed on the electric cables, the cables becomes so heavy they fall off, lucky her in Norway its almost as warm as the Norwegian summer thanks to climate change, we don?t experience snow that often anymore.

@MamePPCA1

Well it depends on the game, avoid display scaling and most games should run fin.
Stay away from AGA games, and 3D games, they are often too slow.
(And yes CPU speed counts, but I have played many games on 800mhz whit out any problem)

@Raziel

Found the fonts on Win2000, installed the fonts, using typemanager in sys:system.

now I don't get any yellow guru errors.

It looks like OWB will crash if website uses a font that is not installed.

@mike

the real 680x0 cpu is to slow for common use, JIT emulated 680x0 is faster even slow PowerPC.

the problem her is that UAE uses interpreted emulation, that is to slow on BlizzardPPC, OS4 JIT emulator can not be used whit UAE because it does not support address offsets.

@MamePPCA1

well, memory usage depends on window boarder texture, window texture, background image, png icons, stuff like that, use color grades and drop down to lower screen resolution, use less colors for example 16bit, also you can comment out drivers you do not use in kickstart layout.
default stack size, workbench prefs, disk chase, and stuff like that.

it's easier to run quake3 on 256mb on windows or Linux, because memory that is not used often is swapped out to disk, to free up RAM.

@BrandonLee

Yes I believe Freespace supports the Gameport on your sound blaster or was it on your AmigaOne motherboard, if you can find old analog stick.

Anyway ?AmigaInputAnyware? is program I wrote it can be downloaded form OS4Depot,you can use your USB stick or USB pad to control your keyboard and or mouse.

You also need copy the AmigaInput stuff from AmigaOS4 update 4 or from AmigaOS4 Classic.
