I have quite a few sound initialization issues with some apps on OS4.1/Pegasos (trackers, demos, games) and some other work well (tunenet etc). Mostly I get errors like "impossible to initialize ahi device or audio driver" when launching apps.. I suspect a bad ahi configuration, could someone help me with the ahi settings ?

even if hs card was pci it wouldn't work, Audigy2 uses "EMU10K2" or "EMU10K2.5" and thus won't work.
(and i didn't know, the usb version lacks a DSP...).

kinda funny to see that in the top ten apps we have an app whose main purpose for users is to see what's going wrong.

andyes, to make it clear, this update is only Uboot and not the SLB for dual booting amiga/linux. But in order to install the SLB when it will be released you'll need this uboot update.

to make it more simple and less metaphoric let's say that the JIT converts (compiles) in real time 68k code to PPC code (in the amiga context).

well, to answer both of you :

it can't be a matter of screenmode on OS4 as it doesn't even display uboot. Anyway i changed the screenmode settings before unplugging my regular screen to try this one. I still have no signal.

I don't see why it wouldn't support uboot resolution if it can support any other bios/firmware (pc, mac, amiga, openfirmware from pegasos and efika).what would make uboot different ? it is supposed to be a resolution that can be handled by any screen.

by the way, for those who would be interested, this little touchscreen works fine with a scandoubler on an classic amiga, it displays AGA nicely.

Yesterday night i tried to plug my 8" Hami TFT touchscreen to my Sam440. I was surprised to see that it simply doesn't work. I plugged it through the DVI/VGA adapter but i have no display (uboot/OS4). This screen worked on every machine i tried it with (PC, PowerMac, MacBookPro, Efika, Pegasos, amiga 4000 (with scandoubler)...) but won't work with Sam !!

any idea why ???

Of course i'm not refering to the touchscreen features, i know there is no driver for it (or not public) but i simply can't display anything with it.

and yes, on most 3D games to framerate is poor (640x480).

I finally made it work ! i wasn't selecting the right device (thanks Fara for your help)

But unfortunately it's pretty slow on Sam440, most 3D games have a poor framerate, i will have to adjust frameskipping.

for me they look like some sick emoticons with spots on their faces. Not very healthy
what anout making them in white and red ? (like the original boing ball).
