I agree. Such a case would rock! I guess it would only be possible to fit a Sam motherboard inside but just imagine a custom X1000 fitted inside this... Sweet dreams, indeed.

@Fab Okay - so I might be too early for an upload to OS4depot? Still, I hope that you - or someone else - will eventually upload it. This game belongs on the Amiga!

Hi guys, I don't know if you remember the game Nuclear War, but it's been remade as an SDL game, so I guess some talented coder could make this an OS4 game easily? Take a look here: http://studiostok.se/?page=netnuclearThe game now supports online gaming!

@Helgis It's very nice to make these speculations but I thought this would be a thread about a possible software bundle! Amiga always had a great tradition for good bundles... So if Helgis wouldn't mind perhaps we could expand the thread to cover possible software bundles? Timberwolf would be very nice, of course... MakeCD or Frying Pan? For games perhaps BOH, Bubbelshe Deluxe or AmiJeweled? We are a bit lacking in other areas, I guess. But let me hear your suggestions?

@afxgroup
Troels is Danish, as am I... And 6500 dollars doesn't sound wrong for a programmer...
I found an article from the Danish paper ComputerWorld stating that the average salary for programmers and system developers was around 7000 US dollars in 2006. So Troels' figure is surely right.

I like this idea a lot but I can see that there might be some problems to iron out before it would be possible.
The perfect solution would probably be to have one of top programmers - at Joerg level - working full time.
Anyway, I would be willing to pay around 100 danish kroner (13-14 euros) a month to such a project.
Basically, I am in if it is possible.

@JosDuchIt You have to boot from your newly burned cd-rom. Then follow the instructions! It's a really nice installation presentation, actually

@ChrisH
Well, I got home and tried it with my laptop... and it didn't work...
So, I tried disconnecting both the powerlinks completely - then letting them lie and think about what they had done - and then I tried again.
I really took it step by step again. Connecting one to the socket, then to the router, connecting the next one to a socket, then to the Amiga...
And hey - it works perfectly now! :)
Feeling a bit silly though... Like calling a hotline and being told to reboot... Oh well, it doesn't matter now!
Thanks to all the guys who tried to help!

I tried typing shownetstatus... this is what it says...
local host address: 0.0.0.0 (on interface eth3com)
default gateway: (not configured)
domain name: 127.0.0.1
So this is obviously wrong... I tried pinging and it said "no route to host"...
I will bring my laptop back from in the next few days, and then I will test the laptop with the powerlink using the very same cable that is connected to the Amiga!

Sorry, Chris!
I completely missed your question! Well, I tried pinging it a couple of days ago, and it told me it could not ping the router. Can't remember the exact error message...
I will try Shownetstatus when I get back from work tonight!

@amije
Well, this one is tested. I took the cable that worked with the Amiga in the living room and used it to connect the powerline and the Amiga - still no net...
I guess I'll have to buy a 15 meter cable that I will put in the router when I want to use the Amiga...
Not a nice solution - but it will work.

@ChrisH It connected via a Netgear Powerlink. That's a small box you plug in your electrical sockets around the house. One box is connected to the router. The others can be placed in electrical sockets in any room providing wired internet throughout the house. Like this: http://www.netgear.com/Products/Power ... hernetAdapters/XE104.aspxThis setup worked nicely before the update. Now nothing...

Update 1 net troubles SOLVED

So I will just recap the story... I installed update 1 with no trouble. However, I could not get an internet connection no matter what. My AmigaONE is connected through a Netgear Powerline system in the office. My modem and router are in the living room feeding - among other - a powerline. This setup worked fine with OS4.1. Now - nothing. Finally I moved the Amiga and monitor to the living room and connected it directly to router. Made a new clean install, and then... it worked! I left the Amiga in the living room - booted up again next morning and everything worked perfectly. Then I moved Amiga and monitor back to the office - connected to the powerline... and of course - no internet... I need help - either a solution or just an explanation?

So I picked the Amiga - carried it next to the router - connected it directly... Tried to make a new clean install - and IT WORKED!
Don't really know why... Now I just hope it will work when I put it back in it's place - fingers crossed!
Posting this from update 1!

I am still at a loss...
I have no idea why it won't work anymore... It worked with OS4.1, it works with my laptop...
There must be a solution. If I had a 12 meter long cable, I would try to connect the AmigaONE directly to the router, but it used to work through the netgear powerline...

@Rigo
Okay, I found out that my buffalo router uses 192.168.11.1...
So... I had this:
IP-adress: 192.168.11.47 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.11.1 DNS: 192.168.11.1
It tells me eth3com is etablished with those ip's... but still no net...
Hmm...
I run my AmigaOne through a powerline connection in the office... My router is connected to another powerline in the living room. It worked with 4.1...
