@samo79 Quote: Then once the ASL requester will opened i didn't select any "real" file (or a wrong one don't remember now) but the editor started normally .. at this point i just right clicked on this "blank page" of the editor and i got the DSI i mention ..
I don't understand what you mean here. What file did you select? Can you mail it to me so I can test it here. I tried with a soft link, and that worked as expected. I just don't get what you mean by "real file". Quote: Aniway now i'm start using it for real with a .c file of one of my source, so a question: does the current editor supports the usual scroll keys of the keyboard to "navigate" into the code ?
PageUp and PageDown doesn't seems to work here, the up/down arrows seems not supported too ?
Yes, of course it works. The editor gadget uses env(arc):classes/gadgets/richeditor/default.kbd for it's key mappings. Please make sure that file is in place, as this might be the cause of your problems. It should have been installed by the Installer, so unless that failed for some reason (which you wuld have been told about), or you are doing something funky with ENV(ARC):, I can't understand why that would be. I have also now added the ability for the search meta-data (last search string and case-sense etc) to be saved along with the project. This means those setting will be restored after reloading the project.
Expect an update soon, providing no other serious issues are found.

The column marking by mouse is done (easier than I thought it would be), although it is hard-coded to holding CTRL while drag-selecting. The other qualifier keys are used elsewhere for other things.

Not sure what the first crash is all about. In the case of the second one, how can you have the editor open without any file in it?

Those of you that may have setup issues to start with, can join #codebench on the irc.amigaworld.net IRC server.
There may be someone there that can give live assistance depending on timezone.

I'm not sure why you installed CodeBench twice, but the community profile information is located in "community/profile.xml" in the codebench directory. You can move this file to an alternate installation if you need to and restart the community client.

Have you rebooted since you installed the update?
If not, that's why.

I'm guessing the NM_xxx defines come from the "newmouse" includes. Under OS4, you don;t need that, and it's all handled by input.device (devices/input.h)

Has anyone else noticed that they have to keep logging in?
Before the upgrade, once logged in (and the "Remember me" option set), I could come back hours later and carry on. Now I have to login in again after a period of inactivity. This is with Chrome, I haven't tried any other browser as I don't have any others installed.

Perhaps you could add me to the project then. At least that way I can check any changes into the SVN. Simon

DOpus needs to patch OpenWorkbenchObject() now too.
I have a program here that can run all the WB startup items via the dopus5.library, but now I'm completely running in WB replacement mode, because there is no Workbench running, OpenWorkbenchObject doesn't work, and AmiDock (as well as others) cannot launch programs.
I also notice that WorkbenchControl no longer functions in order to get a duplicate search path.
It appears that there is lots of shortcomings to using this to completely replace Workbench, which is a shame.

@kas1e
The crash I am getting is in the IsModule(handle->name) call to inovamusic.library.
I have renamed inovamusic.library and the crash is gone. Is there not a native version of it?

Well, just checking the stamp, the beta archive was downloaded 1 3/4 hours ago. I have downloaded it again, and I'll try that.
In the meantime I'll try checking out the complete source and try that. You are right, I did only checkout "trunk".

The version I'm testing, and which shows the error above, was only downloaded a few hours ago. Have you uploaded an update since then?
