We need an event calender. One input for 13/01/2007 at 18.00 hour From our amigaclub: Quote: 24 December 2003 at 17:14:26 hour
That's when our counter started counting...... So not only do we have the birthday of Jesus but also the Belgian Amiga Club is born that evening . And this will be celebrated on the 13th of January together with our first club meeting of 2007.
The Three Kings will bring each a special gift and there will be lots of champagne.
See you there: www.amigaclub.be

Aah, thanks, now i understand better the effect on the second picture and it seems very rear like you discribe it.
Angel rays he, thats a nice name for it.
I know another one that we use here in belgium, but i am not sure what it is cald in other country's.
When the sun shines and there is a rainbow and it also rains then we call that "'T is kermis in de hel" what could be translated as "it's village-fair in hell". That is not meant in an negative way but is just said when they see that event.
I have seen that several times in my live so it must not be that rare.

Now that i have looked at the photo's a few times i think i can see the link why they are importend to you.
In both the photo's you have a special light effect and as you are a believer you connect that to the phrase i saw in the blues brother movie "do you see the light".
Well, i must say that i have seen a few times the light but also the dark side of live and my conclusion is that we must go true live and try to make the best of it.
Dirk.

Why dont you add a story to explain to the people what you see in those photo's. For me they are just two photo's of the sky. The first one gives me the expression that our atmosphere is very thin and that we must save and preserve it. The second one goes in to the same direction as you can see a trail from a plain polluting that nice blue sky. And yes i am an ex-greenpeace activist. Just my toughts.

I am Dirk and i love the AmigaOS's.
This year i have followed my first pc-class ever, it was a very painful 6-month long experience with all the windowsversions for the first time in my life and now i am 200% sure that i dont want to use them.
Long Live Amiga !!!

How much is aminet and/or OS4depot worth?
And by this i mean working developer years in money.
Why i ask this question?
Well, like for example Disney are selling their older and newer films on the portable devices.
What would that be for Amiga games and software.
Could you imagine a video-ipod or a psp running older Amiga games and software? I do, as the new generation of kids do like some old 2D games. They fit nicely on the portable devices and are much better then that junk you get on those cellphones (older cellphones).
And what about all those games that where released the past 20 years, sureley there must be a way to preserve these games and to polish them a bit up and release them with a light version of uae or even an OS4 or OS5 kernel?
What do you think.

A little update from m3x: Posted on 31-Oct-2006 8:58:08 at AW: Quote: Target price for the 667 Mhz, 256Mb ram including OS4 is Euro 450 + local taxes. Posted on 31-Oct-2006 9:41:00 at AW: Quote: The target price is for the "end-consumer" version.
About the "developer-version" we're planning to release a number of free boards to interested developers. More info on how to apply for a free board will be released in the next weeks.
Sam440EP is more a plattform then a single motherboard, it will be available in various versions.
Right now it's possible to choose:
- 3 different cpu frequency (more when AMCC will release higher frequency models), - 2 gfx chips (M6 and M9), - 2 ram configurations (256Mb and 512Mb), - 4 different sized FPGAs, - various optional peripherials (CCTalk, Disk On Chip, etc...)
More, it's possible to license a sub set of Sam440EP, for example, a customer doesn't need gfx and sound, we can design a smaller, and thus a cheaper motherboard. Posted on 31-Oct-2006 10:10:50 at AW: Quote: The price for such a system without OS4 is max Euro 350, at the actual estimated production volume, Euro/USD exchange rate, and DDR ram price.
Linux and Amiga market are different, there are different needs, and therefore they need different configurations. Posted on 13-Dec-2006 10:53:59 at AW: Quote: Dev boards will be available in the following configurations:
- 400 Mhz, M6, 256 Mb - 533 Mhz, M9, 256 Mb - 667 Mhz, M9, 512 Mb
Thanks Max Tretene and sorry for the crossposting but as it seems that you guys are very busy this is meant to help you a bit. Thanks, Dirk.

@LyleHaze For me the same. If i want some extra things to the A1 then it should be: hardware: TV-in/output, hifi-integration, new joypad, virtual glasses, ... software: AF 2006 for OS4, download-service for older games and software, ... hardware + software: easy-link with other computers, booting from ram/memory devices, ... concepts: following industrial standards, finding new ways of interaction, artificial intelligence as a sort follow-up to our say-programme, integration into the household (child/girl/woman friendly spinoff's), ... And much much more ...
