@vox
Maybe you forgot, or did not know: 1) The SAM motherboards are not designed as an Amiga desktop computer. Their target is an embedded/kiosk type system.
2) AmigaOS is not necessarily the primary operating system. Depending on customer demand, it may be linux, unix, or AmigaOS.
If they did sell tens of thousands to Amiga users, they would probably modify the hardware options to fill our wish list.

Also, did you restart your computer first? Myself and others had to do a fresh restart before running Timberwolf.

Woah! That's a lot of memory for a classic and looks like the ultimate RAM disk. I've got to get my A4000 up again so I can check this out.

@poweramiga If you like, I may have an extra power supply, video card, or stick of RAM I can give you to test with. Is that an AmigaOne XE you have?

@clusteruk Yeah! Thanks a lot for making those. Even the stereo sound comes through. "I would never part with this machine" Me either brother. I've got two A1000 tucked away in storage and some day I hope to put them in action again.

@Antique
Yes, OS4 is probably running in 32-bit on the 64-bit CPU, but the statement was true that it is running on a 64-bit CPU. Since the Titan is only 32-bit, my guess is for the PA-Semi CPU.

@Slayer
I think HammerD had the closest solution. Slayer, if you can contact Joerg, see if he can make some tool in turn for some cash, and I'll donate some dollars to it.

@Helgis I plan to buy a Sam460, and probably an X1000 also. On each system I would use an 80 GB hard drive, maybe no CD drive at all and at least 1 GB of RAM. Of course, since the X1000 comes somewhat pre-built, I'll just choose whatever the minimum offering is. I don't think I can part with my existing OS4 Amiga systems though. I guess I'll just let them multiply like Slayer does.

@328gts
I have the same M-Audio card in my SamFlex with OS4.1 update 1. I've never used Mixer and my sound works fine. The Workbench startup sound is at normal volume and so is Tunenet.
Try removing the Mixer from WBstartup and delete this file: Sys:Prefs/Env-Archive/Mixer.prefs
Then restart the computer.

@Helgis
That's the same as my thinking. I think the formal name AmigaOne X1000 was the best choice in preserving the legal name. For a model number or shorter reference, I think AX1000 is good.
Maybe I should call it a SAM X1000 and confuse everyone.

Too true! I left the amigaworld.net website to get away from most of that crap. Even with a few whiners at Amigans.net, it's way better than Amigaworld.

Just my opinion...
I no longer give any money to pre-orders or bounties. I would rather have a product that actually exists, that I can evaluate before I put money towards it. That is why I purchased or made donations for IBrowse, OWB, DVPlayer, AudioEvolution, RDesktop, and others. I've not donated to the Mozilla bounty, but if it is a good product then I'll gladly buy or donate. I think if people have not already given to some of these authors then that should be the first priority.

@tlm
What brand and model is your printer? What is the IP address of your printer?
In Printer prefs: What printer driver did you select? Did you use port device: lpr.device?
What is your "lpr.device" ENV set to? (type "getenv lpr.device" in CLI)
