I have the same problem, but as I mentioned on an other thread, these problems resolved when I installed timberwolf on an ffs2 partiton. Try that...

@tfrieden
I just tried the Timberwolf RC2 on a FFS partition on my X1000, without replacing any so lib. It seems that it doesn't have the timing/freezing prblem that I had with it on a SFS partition. It works faster now. Although it does this freeze but it lasts a few seconds.
- The bookmarks work fine on FFS partition too. - Over links the cursor becomes a hand, something that doesn't happen if the timberwolf runs on SFS partition. - The CPU isn't always at 100%, even if you do nothing with Timberwolf.
So, I think that the filesystem change the behavior of Timberwolf drastically.

Right now I'm using it with the following compination:
libpixman (RC2) licairo (RC2) libsqlite (RC1)
It works nice on website appearance, the flickering of the pointer over a text is removed, the menu appears right, the bookmarks doesn't work (SFS0)

I just did that test you asked for. The slow down on website fetching returned. It seems lke the app is frozen for a few minutes. Also, the menu items where invisible in the GUI, and they appear as soon as you go and click on them.

I can confirm that by replacing those 3 libs the speed of timberwolf is great when loading a webpage, and very good on scrolling. The Timberwolf seems really stable now and usable.

I would prefer the solution of tagging the posts. This way the user can give different keywords for a post and not be restricted by the forum divisions.

I never had any problem at all on my mA1. Did you try to disable various utilities that might confuse the Timberwolf? I am running limbidclock and wet with Timberwolf with no problem. If nothing works, try to remove it's folder and reinstall.

For the fun of it I tried Timberwolf on my A1200PPC. It needs 3m 56sec to start and show the window (first start), 1m 3sec until it finish the load of the first two tabs and 2m 21sec to load amigans.net. Considering that it has a 10mbps lan card attached on PCMCIA, this is not so tragic for a computer with 175Mhz CPU, PIO-4 on hard disk, slow bus and memories. I wonder how a PC would get with such specifications.

I like to use mogrify, which is part of the imagemagick project, and exists on various operating systems ( http://aminet.net/search?query=imagemagick). It is a shell command that does a lot of things. Let me give you a few examples. - batch image resize keeping ratio intact mogrify -verbose -resize 800x800 -quality 80% *.jpg - batch image resize to the dimension exactly, stretching the images mogrify -verbose -resize 800x600! -quality 80% *.jpg - batch image resize keeping ratio intact, auto rotates the images if the orientation info exists in the exif info of the file mogrify -verbose -resize 800x800 -auto-orient -quality 80% *.jpg - batch image like previous example, but enhances the colors and brightness of the images, for better quality mogrify -verbose -resize 1000x1000 -auto-orient -quality 85% -normalize *.jpg

I need a good SSH shell program. So, if a program like Putty can be ported then I totally want it. Also, a program like FTP Mount but for SFTP, could be useful.

Null Modem for micro-A1 and debugging

A few days ago I created a null modem and serial connector for my microA1 but it seems it doesn't work. I need your help. But, first let me tell you about my cables. 1. I created a piece of cable that changes a serial cable to a null modem. I used the schematis of cloanto at this image 2. I created a small piece of cable connector to connect on the microA1 serial header on board. I used the Intuition base handbook to find the serial connection header and create the connector 3. Last is the common serial cable connected to a PC with Windows, using hyper terminal 7.0 Those cable are connected in the following order: microA1 ==> serial connector on board ==> null modem switch cable ==> common serial cable ==> PC At the microA1 I inserted at the Uboot the following multiboot parameters debuglevel=5 serial baudrate=57600 Also, I changed the kicklayout to load the kernel.debug file. So, I would like to ask you if you believe that I did something wrong? Also, is there a serial null modem schematics specific for the microA1?

You could try to press CTRL+R to get the new css files. It is the best method for all the browsers.

I would like to hear your voice and opinion about AmigaOS4. Could you describe it with a phrase? Maybe the best thing you like most about it. It would be great to have you opinion gathered.
Let me start:
AmigaOS is my beloved OS because it gives you the feeling of a really fast and great OS for your home computer, whith which you want to communicate, play and enjoy with no headaches.

@abalaban Thank you for your reply. Do you believe that it needs to be rewritten totally fro the scratch or maybe a different application is needed? I would like to have an application supporting both like ftpmount works. Thanks again for your time and the great work you do.

May I say that FTPMount is a really great and totally necessary application for our systems. If it had support for SFTP too, it would be great.
@abalaban Is it possible to add SFTP support? Maybe, an implementation like the one PFTP has, by using Solie's ssh programs, would be faster/easier to complete.

Yes, the purchased version works for me too very well on AmigaOS 4. But it would be great to have this free too for anyone to use.
