If I am not wrong the Poseidon stack is now owned by iComp. Is the version you are running the last one they released? Maybe they have a way to help you with it or know better what you could do.

@sailor I'd like to apologise because I originally mixed your gender in my blog post, which is now fixed. It was really stupid of me as I didn't know. I hope now I made things right and I will try to not happen again in the future.

We have been a little bit silent the past months, and that's not because we were doing nothing. On the contrary, we actually did a lot of work which I will try to summarize below. We are working on porting all the needed libraries and helping afxgroup to develop further his new clib2. The work we do for webkit requires changes in adtools and gcc itself. This means that we do not actually work only on the webkit but a lot more stuff around our dev environment. We have some issues with threads which we try to solve which rjd324 is working to make pthreads work with clib2. All these changes are going to benefit not only the Webkit port but every software that will be created or ported in the future. A couple of week ago we finished the majority porting of the needed third-party libraries like the harfbuzz and many others. They are all compiled with afxgroup's clib2 and are available at his ubuntu packaging server. These were blocking me from continuing the work on a mini-browser, but now I am able to continue that work and move it forward. So far we are at 42% of the port. The goal is to have a mini browser that would load a single page. Meanwhile, we were updating our developing environment to have that up to date and easy to update when more changes will happen on afxgroup's clib2 or other tools. We also have two more people joining our small team and helping us with what we are doing. They are FlynnTheAvatar and sTix, both very experienced developers and good guys to work with. We for sure have to gain a lot from their knowledge. If you need more details on what we are doing please let us know. And make sure to follow our progress on WebKit port at the https://github.com/users/walkero-gr/projects/1

@eliyahu I am reading at your tips and tricks and the section that is about AmiSSL Quote: The bad news is that anytime the AmiSSL developers create a new library, you'll have to remember to add it to your blacklist. I think I read somewhere that is possible to use asterisk as a wild card. I haven't tried it yet, but that would help a lot on this, right? Also, you might want to provide a blacklist file for the users who don't like to make things themselves.

@eliyahu My god, your guide is so good that A-Eon should print it and give it along with every A1222 motherboard to the buyers. Well done man.
LiteXL is missing from your software list. When I was developing it I always tested it to work on A1222. Did you have issues with it?
Oh wait, it is in your software list but not in recommendations. That's fine, don't worry.

@Maijestro Thank you for testing it. I am glad it works for you. I didn't do much other than compile it with the latest SDL. All the needed work was done by Capehill on his fabulous port.
You can go fullscreen with CTRL+F but on my system, it was a little bit slow because of the software rendering.

Thanks guys for your fast replies. Yeah, my keyboards do not have the right super key and I tried the menu key but didn't work.
The weird thing is that the switch of the Amiga keys to use the alt keys from the input prefs doesn't seem to work, which might be an incompatibility with OS4.
I have the right ctrl key, so the only thing I need to do is to find a way to map it to the right amiga key. I think there are some utilities that do that. I will have a look and let you know.

Qemu and Right Amiga key

I like to use the Right Amiga shortcuts a lot. They help me do a lot of the actions fast. On my Linux machine when I use the latest qemu 8.0.0 to run AmigaOS 4 that doesn't work at all, no matter what I do.
On my Macbook Pro though the right Amiga button works fine with the Right Command key.
What I would like to do is to have it working on my Linux system using the Right Alt button. Does anyone manage to do something like that?
To use the alt keys I have the selection at the Input prefs to switch the Amiga keys with the Alt keys enabled, but doesn't seem to work. I don't know if there is a need to pass any argument to qemu for a specific keymap or something.
Any ideas?

@Hans Quote: Open-sourcing isn't necessarily the best way forward. The only reason I can afford to write graphics drivers for AmigaOS is because A-EON pays me, and they can only pay me because they're able to sell software & hardware Would it make sense to start a kickstarter for the virtio-gfx driver? This way we will see how many are interested in something like that and your work will be able to be paid in advance. Also, people will be able to buy it after the kickstarter from your e-shop if they want to jump on.

Thank you so much TJ for playing and for sharing my port. BreakHack is an excellent little game that plays quite well on most AmigaOne systems, as it doesn't require a lot of resources. It has some small bugs here and there but it is quite good game.
Have fun with it.

I do not have a native package for AmigaOS 4 but a few days ago I prepared a new docker image which include gcc 11.3.0 compiled with afxgroup's new clib2 and the SDK which has most of the available clib2 libraries already installed. I use it to compile webkit JSC and for the work we do with the port. You can find it at https://hub.docker.com/r/walkero/webkitondockerEven if you do not want to use it as your development environment, if you start it by sharing a folder you can grab all the required files if you share a volume between the host machine and the docker container. SDK and gcc are installed under /opt folder

Re: Is it possible to change the cursor colour of "NotePad" ?

What you can do is go to palette prefs and change the first colour slot from 216,216,216 to something like 200,200,200. This will make the background darker in the notepad but will change that colour everywhere it is used.
For MUI open the prefs and go to the "Text" and there is a box at the right side named "Colour" which is for the cursor. Select a lighter colour and this will make the cursor visible.
