Re: Hi from Pianeta Amiga!

Just can't stay away

Hi @Billsey

So, why is it that we must blame Amiga, Inc. again?

Well of course! They're the exec. management group. Their specialty is bad management, bad decisions, and bad marketing. Who else?

There?s plenty of blame to go around for everybody involved, so try to be a little bit balanced.

I'm balanced, but it's the justice system points out who is malignant.

FYI: the byte order is reverse between big and little endian modes (not the word order).

ARGB (BE) and BGRA (LE) is constructed formats, while GBAR is what you get when you having (BE) and (LE) problems,

Int32 the words are in revere order.
Int16 the bytes the bytes are reverse order.
Bytes are the same in Intel and Motorola format.

Ok, but why are there any endianness issues here? PowerPC and 68k use the same endianness. Is the emulator converting things to intel format somewhere along the line? If so, that should be removed, as it's unnecessary.

E-UAE only does support direct IO to cdroms, real partitions are off limit.

What it does support is FileSystem emulation, and Disk image emulation.

@Mikey_C

Basilisk 2 does support hacking in start block blocks size and so manually

Basilisk 2 does support 64 bit disk addressing, but I do not know what MacOS software does when finds partitions larger then 2Gb or 4Gb.

How is it added to E-UAE ?

Yes. If you used HDToolbox to partition it, then you have to use HDToolbox to flag it bootable.

Do you run E-UAE on that Amiga ? What do you understand by a "real" Amiga ? AmigaOne is not a real Amiga in this context.

I almost had a MK III allegro as my first car.

Look like the Austin Brand maybe revived by the nanjing automotive group in 2008 when they bring in the new cars eg: the MG3 and MG5. Non sporty version may be released under the Austin brand not the Rover brand as they would have under MG Rover.

Much like people have wrongly used "the Friedens" and "Hyperion" as interchangeable terms, "Amiga" and "Amiga Inc." as interchangeable terms, you are using "Amiga Inc." and "Bill McEwen" as interchangeable terms here.

When you are talking decision making and corporate affairs, there is no correlation whatsoever.
In fact, this has been pointed out innumerable times in threads on AW in great detail.

Re: MozAmiga

Hey guys,

Granted all the *impossible* AmigaInc promises make it look real, but the
Psion PDA reference should be a dead give away... Psion has been out of
the PDA market for years.

Checking archive.org shows this page version was put up in June of 2001
and it really doesn't look like it's changed much in the last six years...

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://mozamiga.mozdev.org/

So just put this one away as another of the Ainc-supported pipe dreams
that went nowhere.
