 Re: EasyTAG 2.0 and GQView 2.1.5 for AmiCygnix released
Very thanks

Why no support .svg? Older version svg works.

@mufa

Ooops - I've forgotten to add SVG support. It is not included by standard. I will add this in the next version.

Like already sayd on Amigaworld.net
I installed GQView and it's a nice program,
unfortunatly it doesnt work with Pentax RAW (pef) files,
or at least it doesnt work with k100d files, it show garbled images.

It doesn't work also with my Olympus C5050Z RAW (orf) files

@pvanni

As these formats are proprietary, there is no guarantee that it works. Pentax and Olympus can change their formats anytime.

I'm afraid, that there is nothing I can do. I only can hope, that GQView will be updated, sorry.

 Re: EasyTAG 2.0 and GQView 2.1.5 for AmiCygnix released
On various pentax forums, GQView on linux is
reported to handle correctly Pentax RAW files,
so it seems that the problem it's on the
AmiCygnix version.

Eit: I just downloaded some RAW files,
and it seems that only Nikon files are in some
way recognized but only thumbnails are visualized,
Canon, Fuji and Olympus are rapresented like
a broken image (an icon with a red X on it),
Pentax files are visualized as garbage data.
I downloaded only relatively old camera files

Edit2: Sorry for all my posting, but after deeper
research it seems that gqview can only display
jpeg images embedded in the raw files and not
the RAW itself, so forget me
Anyway it's strange it doesnt work with Pentax files that has embedded jpeg

Hmm - that's strange. Maybe it is an endian problem. Can you send me an example file for Pentax and Olympus (address is in my profile)? I don't see a chance to fix it without them.

Edit: Where did you download the example files?

BTW: Found out, that GQView uses the same code for Nikon and Pentax.

 Re: EasyTAG 2.0 and GQView 2.1.5 for AmiCygnix released
you can find many RAW files at:
http://www.rawsamples.ch

I think that something are not working in the
embedded jpeg extraction code (but maybe it's
a gqview problem not the AmiCygnix port)
because all the files I tried contains relatively
big jpeg images only Nikons RAW contains
small jpegs

Damn - found the bug. Now all raws are displayed - except the Olympus files. Also SVG support is added now. I think I have to make a new release.

@pvanni & mufa

Like to test the binary? I can send (or PM) you a link to the archive.
