Including 6 seconds of boot delays, my SamFlex went from a 40 second cold boot time to 35 seconds.
Thanks Acube. BTW: My WindowsXP Intel Core2 Duo 2.3 Ghz takes 1 minute 55 seconds with no boot delays. |

@bitman
What model of Sam do you have? Did you try changing your keyboard to the other USB port? How many seconds is your Uboot delay? |

Doesn't seem to have made any difference here, apart from everything now being in black and white(?!) Visually it looks like a step backwards. Functionally, the only difference is that the "press a key for boot options" has an additional option (and is now a text string at the bottom of the first screenful of text, rather than a smarter-looking progress bar on the next)

Problem solved now - keyboard MUST be in upper J18 USB port (is wtritten in the SAM manual) - gained between 8-10 seconds when booting now.

@328gts
How on earth have you gotten it down to 20 seconds - mine takes around 35-38 seconds. The Amiga OS 4.1 splash is shown for about 10-12 seconds before WB is visible. |

@ bitman
I think time depends on how WBench Startup is is defined. AISS, AsyncWB, Deficons, RAWBinfo, and ScreenBlankerEng. and maybe Context Menus should be a minimal compliment of bootup programs. Anything else will cost time to setup. Y/N ? |

Reflashed successfully, my SAM's boot time is now about 3-4 seconds shorter. Thanks ACube!

Installed.
Before installation, I timed the boot sequence with precision and it turned out to be 36 seconds. After installing the update it is 30 seconds flat. Well good enough I say Edit: did exact measurements this time ![]() |

Hello,
This is verry funny ![]() I have an USB to PS2 adapter with a PS2 mouse and a ps2 keyboard. - access to Uboot or choosing AOS4 or linux work fine. - Use enter to choose the update of the uboot work fine but Press the space key (under the warning message not work). That mean I CAN'T UPDATE the Uboot to 1.3.1a Hope when I will update the Uboot, the mouse and keyboard will work perfectly with uboot 1.3.1a and an USB to ps2 adaptator. |
