Update: I fixed the sound by specifically setting ScummVM's sound to 44 KHz, so now I'm getting sound properly.

Update update: Sound in general is working, but I'm still not getting speech in Curse of Monkey Island.

I get an error message 'WARNING: Lanuage file is forced to be ignored!'

It would take too much time to put all the information in, so simply go to the ScummVM forums and find (probably) a cure for your problem.

The best bet for all ScummVM related crashes, bugs and misbehaviour is to first recopy all of your game data...

A good set up manual is the (you guessed it) manual that comes with ScummVM (it?s for all platforms the same procedure)
