Bug with loading X5000 loaders boot configuration

When I recently should start up the x5000 it stopped at the point where the computer writes select boot config... but the test is garbled not legible
the boot config states... well it makes no sense remembers me about unicode/text translation errors, it probably is just the boot configuration which somehow have been corrupted, but is there a easy way to fix such a error? without having to change gfx-card and so on... (pain in the ...) for instance why can't you alter the boot config in the u-boot cmd line (or can you?) which would make sense, or some other way to boot with rx-580 attached? don't have enough slots for two gfx-cards I do have pci-e 1x, 4x, 8x expanders but... I assume the system would not like to see a radeon HD and a radeon RX at the same time without some mucking about. I do have a picture that shows the error... but it is a bit of a hassle to upload it...

@broadblues
The big benefit would be the ability to use Rx cards with complex shaders etc. (unfortunately not radeons OpenCL - AFAIK ROCm ( I think they changed the name and where the source is located again!), opensource AMD claims but it really isn't- system) this would speed up stuff like previews and renders quite a bit...

SATA III Port Multiplier on X5000

I've considering testing this gadget, it's cheap and if it works allows you to add 4 SATA ports to the motherboard.
It has power connector, but strangely enough also a usb dc 5v connector, now i wonder, does it have to attached for those 5v I think the sata power connector does supply 5v?
the name is ADP6ST0-J06 and costs ~32.00£ search for SATA iii port multiplier
if anyone have tried it and it didn't work, let me know (even if you used it on a PC...)

@devils_advisor agree, but mine didn't come with the breakout (daughter) board does this ahi driver need a new midi driver too or does the audigy emu10kx work with these ones too? (probably not!)

@tekmage
I've downloaded it now, will see what it does and so on... it was a peculiar way to have it stashed i do have to say, creating a github like project but keeping the code as sourceforge, i Copied it to my harddrive and made a github repo of it... hopefully it doesn't have some missing additions/changes...
seems fine so far, need to copy it to my x5020
<edit/> noticed something strange... the header files is removed from the source </Edit>

@Raziel SimpleMail is half decent with sluggish OS4 support AFAIK, has some imap support, but not oauth 2.0 support so google mail with imap still doesn't work (I think, I might have done something wrong there).

@Plexus I have two 8GB sticks and no problems booting.
are your two sticks from the same set? if not you might have different CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS ex. (1) 2-3-3-8 vs. (2) 2-3-2-6 in this example 2 is better. it all depends on how amigaos handles memory sticks and it doesn't have anything with ram-handler (I think). It might be why it doesn't boot correctly sometimes.

@Raziel,@ddni Don't hangup with oo.library a more likely candidate is Jansson.library i would suggest to look into that if you have duplicates or an older version than the requested 2.12.1

@Raziel
Since noone else answers this, I'll give it a go. It most Likely started out as threads.library perhaps changes were made which made it even more posix like so to make it more relevant to people they changed the name to pthreads for posix threads... you can check if the headers are similar and the final test is to move the current threads.library to for instance sys:storage and do a soft link from pthreads.library to threads.library and try to run with something that demands threads.library

@Capehill it is most likely a matter of what datatypes you are using warpPNG, akPGN or PNG, some .datatype libraries support writing some don't, if we go back to the commodore days the datatype system was only meant to write the default format (FTXT, 8SVX, ILBM)

@Joeled Probably a monitor/tv problem, check for settings that scale the picture. It reminds me of older laptops and how windows made screens 'blurry' when it scaled the desktop. I have a wacom cintiq pro 16 4k 'monitor' some computers can't drive it at the full 4k resolution so you have to select a lower resolution, and you get a fuzzy screen. Also could be anti-aliasing issues... but i don't think the gfx card is busted or anything like that.

@Raziel 2.22 seem's to have made it out, but only on os4welt.de, search for smbfs, the changes to 2.21 is minimal doubt they even fix any major bugs, but... the sourcecode is available for anyone to take a stab at it, compiling it for upload to os4depot, or even implement samba V4+ behavior

Have seen a MSI RX 580 8Gb 'Armor' wich seems to be not necessary a single slot but with greater clearance to slots (so one should be able to get a pciex4 to pciex16 and pciex1 to pciex4, if one Installs them before the graphics card) and maybe slightly narrower than most dual slot cards. It should be available from amazon (at least amazon.se) I have also seen a HP rx 550/560 card which was a single slot card https://www.amazon.se/RX-580-ARMOR-8G- ... 6876&s=electronics&sr=1-5Just noticed that it might not work on amiga since it has a polaris 20, and very expensive.

After updating with enhancer 2.0 I began to get occasional strange shell informational messages for like emotion It states: '*** emotion quit with multitasking disabled' (Shortened and probably misquoted somewhat too) I don't get what it means since it seems to imply some programs don't handle interrupts correctly and it might be a os program/ resource/device.

@IamSONIC
There are alot of pinball software out there that i find extremely interesting, don't know how portable they are. I think there are versions for linux but they might have crossed to the dark side... (it was included in the mame source code for a while IIRC) those that i'm thinking about is visual pinball 10+ and a couple of offshots (pinball fx) is one. Vpb has ~100 of grade AAA pinballs from all the greats of pinballing.
@jPV hope it get's resolved, on windows i used a id3 editor for all my music collection, it was builtin to mediamonkey... the perfect program if you have a large collection of audio cd's etc.

@All Owb complained that it could not find the site, but it was quickly fixed you have to write the entire Url: www.os4depot.net then it finds it correctly, I had trouble with os4depot yesterday, this morning I tried the full URL and no problems.

@AmigaOldskooler Which datatype did you install?
IIRC The only datatype worth trying is SDIReko-Dt It converts all graphics to 24Bits (Unless you choose 16Bit) Has good options (there is a prefs program) it uses picture.datatype V43 all other reko dataypes probably tries to convert HAM8/HAM6/256 and uses ECS/AGA.

@AcillClassics
Replace the dvd burner with the aos4.1 drive Boot into morphos and check what tool mophos has for harddrives it should at least see the drive and see the partions (even if it states it can't read them), right?
and if both drives are in there which drive does it attempt to boot from, if you select to boot from aos4.1 but it boots morphos it is indictative thatbthe aos4 drive is in bad shape (me thinks)
