Re: Radeon users with pre-5000 cards, do you want 3D?

HD4650 is one of the most used cards, due to it being bundled with the AmigaOne 500 (atleast those sold from Vesalia). It is the "mainstream" card of the AmigaOne world and surely must be supported.

Re: Should I buy an AmigaOne 500 or an AmigaOne X1000?

@ Delta
"OWB is fast"

Well, that is not my experience. Surfing on the Amiga is still a sluggish affair. On simple sites, like the Amiga sites, it works fine. Advanced, modern sites is a drag, though. Trying to juggle two modern sites in different tabs = hell. If one site stops, the second tab will also freeze, so you can't surf on one site while the other loads.

I don't know if this is a software issue or limitations of AmigaOne 500.

Ports, ports, ports... what about new, Amiga-bred games? Anyone having any plans or intentions of creating something new for X1000?

Amiga Forever 2008

... any news on this? I'm very anxious to try the "RetroPlatform Player" mentioned in Amiga Future.

On the Amiga Forever homepage there is a press release dated December 18th concerning the "imminent release" of AF2008.

I know, two months is nothing in Amigaland

@AmiKit

Loved it. I guess the favourite part would be the Insane Software interview, plus the usergroup reports.

I hope one day it will be possible to print the magazine in color, and to have more pages! But I understand the Amiga market will have to grow a bit before that can be justified.

By browsing the issues that have been put online at AF's site, it seems we english-speaking have missed out on a lot of interesting topics. Would be cool if some of these older articles could be translated and reprinted in the english version.

Well, there's that 1.5 legged jazz saxofonist floating from left to right (bottom) and ... isn't that Duke Nukem himself emerging from a venus flytrap (middle right)?

Re: Amiga inc Note to Dealers about New Hardware.

@JeffShepherd

There's no conspiracy theory here. Just arguing that this note was meant for dealers exclusively. It seems strange to me that a person who is so disliked (at least in some quarters of the community) would so readily offer his contact information to every loonie out there.

@Mikey_C

Perhaps a bit strange that he included his phonenumber/fax if the mail were supposed to be "public"?

Anyways, I like the part that goes "[the hardware] will be ready this summer"

As I write, it is the "main article" on the site. Comments so far are positive and posted in a constructive language.

Same goes for the article on Hardware.no from yesterday.

@spotUP

Allegro would be great to have on OS4. I'll donate for sure.
