@afxgroup Peg2 / 1 ghz / os4.1 with latest stuff. In generall almost everythink working, but slow. Some not so "heavy" games works fine. Some videos works fine too. Some time a have crashes, but i am not sure what cause the problem - original source code of gnash, or some bugs of aos4.1 itself (if you in interest i can save the Grim logs). In general the main problem - it's pretty slow even in original windowses modes. I am not expert, but imho, HW rendering (over OGL (minigl) ), can help a lot with that ? I tested both - swfdec on morphos and gnash on os4 (on the same hardware), and well.. they both slow in generall. But we all expected that it will be like that. Fab say that when (if) someone will add HW support for swfdec (cairo?) then it will speedup a lot swdec on mos, so, that make me think that if you will try to add HW acceleration for Gnash, it will speedup it a lot. How hard add HW to gnash btw ? As i know, some OGL already in gnash, and maybe that will be not so hard to add minigl support ? Also as i know that OGL support are experemintal, but if it works already for some "main" parts (like render some crap over it) then it's good start. Can't try youtube vids thorugh (not have python installed at moment).. Just trying it as: aos4-gnash http://youtubeballablab with no luck, but i assume it will be slow too ..

@Raziel
Yeah, tryed it right now - works fine :)
Just ask becouse i remember how it was for 68k : many metters, and only some of them works fine. Looks like with aos4 we have only 2 : cpuwatcher and docky's one.
Thanks

Can anybody point me on tested/worked CPU metter (i mean not just link on archives with name "metter" :) ) for aos4.1 ? I mean not that for "docky", but just some "exe" which i can run, and see CPU load in realtime.
Maybe someone have any expirience with that ?

@afxgroup
In generall i think many of us all of this need for youtube plaing in the owb :) Speed is ok with that ? Fab say that "googlevideo can play almost fine on a 1GHz machine, but youtube can't , might be different with gnash".
Also as i know now, Gnash have experemental GL support ? (i mean will it help us if it will works over MGL) ?

@afxgroup
How the speed at current state of player ? If i remember right, somebody say that these "free" implemetations of the Flash (gnash and others), are pretty slow by design. That true ? How fast it works with the sound, etc at your machine ?

@saimo Maybe you can help please with some problems related to e-uae configs. At moment i try to run many good-old games, with no luck. For first, many of games have just "Black screen" and nothink more. Some of them, have no menu in game (like for example "kid chaos", have only the first picture, but no menu). All of this becouse i do not know which options exactly must be for all the games, and i just try all games just by your example configs (with no luck).
So, maybe you can put here the right/tested configs for these games:
agony aladdin brian the lion cannon fodder chaos engine kid chaos lion heart lion king slamtilt stardust super sturdust super frog walker worms
That will be cool not only for me, but for anyone who want to play in this good-classic games over the e-uae on os4.
The other question also: can i somehow in .rc configs, setup default amiga joy1 to some keyboard keys like on winuae ? (i mean almost all of these games use joy1 in end).
thanks in advance :)

Already use GLUae , and must to say - it's cool. I.e. i can just run any old demo/game by the single click on the icon. Visually it's like you run native os4 programm, and you know nothink about uae.
The one (and pretty big) problem at moment, it's only UAE problems. It's pretty old (if compare with WinUae for example), and many demos/games works badly, slow and have glitches.
I am in interest, it is possible, to grab from Tony some pieces of subroutines/code and put it to e-uae, for making old stuff working better ? As example, the old and well known demo "technological death", works fine (fast, etc) , but in the middle of the demo, it's just stops, and glitches begin. The same bug i noticed on the very first versions of WinUae (7-8 years ago i think).
All of this, make me think, that better collect bountyes for the improved/updated/optimazed EUAE for os4, and not boring at moment about not so important thinks like "gui" or kind (becouse GLUae already do the "layer" job, and do it pretty well from my point of view/usage).
@Saimo In your tutorial, you talk about "sanity" as first example. So, i am in interest: it's works fast for you, or slow ? For me, on my peg2 with 1ghz, it's slow. Sound suttering (i just use your .rc example config from). The same config for example works fine (by the speed) for "technological death". I just want to make a video, for show all the ppls how cool to use GLUAE, so, want to do everythink as fast as it possible :)

@JosDuchIt
The eays way about i think : open file, read some first bytes. If "ELF" - then it's not 68k exe. If 00000003 - then amiga hunk (68k exe).

@Yaroze
Indeed very strange to post news about AGA only prod in the forum with name "AmigaOS4" :) But i still think, maybe it mean that system-friendly version will be released too ?

All what i miss personally in the current realisation of amicygnix, it's that the gfx redrawing are slow (redrawinf of windowses and dragging of windowses). Not madness slow, but detectable and not smooth. Dunno will be hardware acceleration help here if all of this based on networks stuff or not ..

@bean
I mean main tunenet window. It's not so necessary, just imho dragging by mouse pointer over the any area of tunenet will be good to have too .. But as you said looks like it's up to the skin.

@broadblues Do not remember exactly IDCMP it or not, by I do it already yourself for my project and have draggable window by any place of window by mouse. The flags which i have for my window related to intuition it's : Quote: WA_IDCMP, CYCLEIDCMP|IDCMP_GADGETDOWN|IDCMP_GADGETUP|IDCMP_VANILLAKEY|IDCMP_RAWKEY|IDCMP_MOUSEBUTTONS|IDCMP_MOUSEMOVE|SMART_REFRESH,
If no one remeber exactly how it's done, and bean in interst to add that, i can make an example for.

@bean i am not sure about "drag with content" option and what is mean (can't try right now), but , can you add (if it still not) idcmp flags for the tunenet window, to make draggable tune window if i drag it to any place of window (not only for top of the window) ?

@all Btw, if there any trick to make Sgrab works with the content of Mplayer window ? Becouse when i want to show some shoot , mplayer have always black window inside (like most of the screen grabs utilityes on winxp, but, some of them works as must). Maybe authors of sgrab in interest to add that ?
@my_pc_is_amiga
What i do for the grab to make sgrab working with window as "Active": i run sgrab for making shoot, then fast click on the window which i want to make active. Then back to sgrab again, and press the same grab button again - in this case window which i want to make active, grabs as active one.

edit: who have problems like me with freezes, can at moment try to set in tunenet prefs/general tab/AHI Mode to the Ahi Audio 0 (by default it set's to AHI User Mode). Hope bean will not angree on me becouse i said that too early :)
