Hello! I have some problems with OS4. The installation procedure works great, but when OS4 is installed I cant get my Voodoo3 card to work at all.

I have a Mediator LT4 and I choose voodoo/pci on installation, but he seems to not find the pci-card at all (with showconfig) and no graphicsmodes are available (except for AGA).

When using P96 setting he claims that there is no card at all. I have installed Elbox own drivers, and OS4 finds the Voodoo-card, but when choosing (f.i) 800x600 resolution the computer locks.

Any ideas?

I would like to know how OS4 for CA will Ship. Do Acube intend a real CD with docs or downloadable as an ISO-file?

When I want to install OS4, I need to access the CD-drive. Will you ship OS4 with a disk that mount the CD-rom (unit x) f.i. idefix or similar? Or do I need a clean 3.1 installation with a software that mounts my extended drives and cd-rom!? (please remember I am still one of the few endusers left)

You are getting OT right now. Nevermind. Yes, I have used OS3.9 for so many years now, if I call it "tiredness" it might mean a lot of things, but right now I want OS4.0 its that simple. OS3.9 still fullfills most needs (except a nice browser). OS4 will eventually have native support for one or more avanced browsers, which OS3.9 wont get.

Its easy.. I have BPPC, and the PPC-processor isnt used very much except for some PPC-datatypes and archivers (and some other things too).. I would love AmigaOS to run just with the PPC-processor native..

I would not give up on Amiga if OS4 wasnt released for CA.. If it wont be released I will sell my BPPC card and try to get a NG amiga (of some sort)

Thank you Rogue.. I am looking forward to this, my mediator setup really needs it.. I am quite tired of OS3.9. My question to you is, will I be able to "upgrade" OS3.9 to OS4 and keep settings, icons etc or will a clean install be necessary?

I have about 4 FFS / SFS formatted harddrives with "goodies" on them, will I be able to read them after I upgrade?..

So.. Ack Software Control Inc seems to have closed a deal with Amiga.inc and new hardware will be released.. Your thought on this? (read amiga.com for more info)
