@tonyw
Have a look in your Turboprint/Extra drawer and you should have a TURBOstart icon in there. just drag and drop it in WBstartup.
If you have/had previously installed Turboprint to your SYS: partition then drag and drop will actually move the TURBOstart icon, rather than copying it to Wbstartup.
If you have then just copied your Turboprint installation to subsequent updates, you may have lost the TURBOstart icon.
if that is the case, you do not necessarily have to to a re-install, just unarc the Turboprint .lha files manually to ram: to find the TURBOstart tool.
Essentially this just runs Turboprefs, which is in your turboprint drawer. The icon default tool is Turboprint:Turboprefs.

Yep!! Curty's right.
Turboprint will not run until you tell it to. Putting Turbostart in Workbench startup certainly cures your problem.

I was given the above tablet as a Xmas present to use on my laptop for editing photos etc.
It is the Classic XL version, which means it is A5 size, and it is a USB device and the pen has two buttons on it set up as double-click and right-mouse button.
On the laptop I can use the Tablet & Pen system wide as an external mouse, and for drawing with pressure sensitivity in Photoshop elements etc.
The big question, Can I use this device on my A1? I know ImageFX supports graphic Tablets but I don't know if it is just specific ones. Would the A1 just treat this as a mouse, or can I benefit from any of the Tablet functons? Would I need to configure Amigainput, to be able to use it? If I need drivers, are there any generic tablet drivers available on OS4?

Easy enough
Go to the settings and do this:
Highlight and copy the url you want to change
Change the URL option to REXX and click on 'INT'
Choose NEWBROWSER and in the 2nd string gadget type "<r-amiga v>"
Ensure you enter the quotes or it won't work.
Hey, thanks for that worked brilliantly, now off to reconfigure the other fastlinks.

Postcript printing font size.

I have Ibrowse set up to print via postscript, and it does a mighty fine job.
But..... (There's always a but)
The printed font is much larger than shown on my screen.
When I look under Settings/HTML/Fonts there are Normal fonts and Fixed width fonts, and each shows the fonts and sizes used for display, and graphical printing.
Where do I change the font sizes for postscript printing.
I use a 1280*1024 screen size, so there will be a resoloution difference between that and printing, but surely not to double the size of the font used.
Any help, greatfully received. Thanks
Peter Swallow.

Are the system datatypes fater or slower that the warp ones, or do the warp datatypes enhance the system types? This is one area of AOS that I don't have a clue in?
Any advice welcome.
ace Did you install, or just copy over the WarpDT datatypes, from your update#4 partition? The WarpDT install process copies existing matching datatypes to a backup drawer. If You have two datatypes of exactly the same type installed, how would OS4 know which one to use? Only install one for each type of data. I emailed Oliver after installing OS4Final, asking if it was OK to install WarpDT datatypes with OS4Final, his reply was essentially 'ASAP'. The WarpDT datatypes are faster, and have a lot more options, and a preference program to set those options, which will allow you better compatibility. Hope that helps.

@keisangi Thanks for that. I have launched Ibrowse this morning and clicking on links does in fact open in a new browser, and you menu method will give me a new blank tab. However, What I was using to test this was the fastlinks along the top of the browser window. I have Amigaworld, Amigans, OS4Depot etc set up along there as butttons. If I select any of them they open in the first browser, and not a new browser. Any hints on getting the fastlinks to open in a new browser.

In settings / GUI turn 'New... / Open links in' to new browser
Check your FAB Menus too, if you copied your old 2.3 prefs over to 2.4 you will have lost things like 'view link in new inactive browser'.
BTW 'Browser' can mean either window or tab depending on the users settings.
The OEM version is limited but not as limited as the Demo version.
I have selected the two tabs items on the GUI menu and the 'open links in a new browser' and all I get is a single window. I used to get a new window for each browser now I have only one. How do I use the FAB menus? i can select them under settings/GUI, and I get two windows displayed on the right, the first showing submenu, custom, etc. The second shows some buttons similar to the settings panel, and when I click on them they seem to display the entries in the first window sorted to each button. If I select 'view link in new inactive browser' in both windows, it is just shown highlighted. The options below don't become available to me. I am obviuosly doing something stupid. BTW, If it helps, I am using the OEM version as it comes, I haven't copied any prefs files over.

I keep reading about 'tabs' in Ibrowse 2.4.
I am using the OS4Final OEM version, and when I select a link another window opens. I can only find two references to tabs in the GUI prefs and that is 'show tab for single browser' and 'show space for newtab'
How do I try out tabs, or is this only on the registered version. Which I have, I just haven't installed it yet.

Please excuse my ignorance, but is there an idiot's guide to setting up and installing E-UAE on OS4. It is something I have not done, and it seems as if everybody else has, so i thought I would give it a try. I want to try out the old programs I have installed on my A1200 on the A1, and if they won't run under the 68k emulation or petunia, maybe they will run under E-UAE. Anyway, before I started 'playing' as the wife would say , I thought it best to set it up first.

Just open pref/pointers, select open from the menu, and choose "HiRes-Coloures.pre", and select save in the pref/pointers window. That did it for me.

The main issue is the lack of border which is down to CSS (lack of).
So is that down to waiting for V3.0, as I understand it that is planned to be CSS compliant. Not that I am complaining I think v2.4 is great. Although I would like to support the development by buying V3 when available.

I don't know if thus is just a settings problem in IBrowse or not, but using Ibrowse 2.4 on posts with a quote I don't get a box around and quoted posts. On the PC I get a bordered box around all quotes.
I have started to highlight quotes in bold to segregate them from my reply, but I just wondered if this was an Ibrose problem, an Amigans.net problem, or my own problem.
ps. I tried to add this to the Amigans forum but I am not allowed to add a topic there.

Your talking about writing already created images to CD, I'm talking about actually creating those images. Makecd does it ok (@sundown I told you how to do it ages ago ) but only for CDR so I cannot do a bootable dvd disc until FryingPan is updated to allow installation of the SLB into the CD's 'boot block'.
Just a thought, have you posted this request on the Fryingpan mailing list?

I have just tried this out on my A1200, and the box updates in real time, as you change the parameters. I have just tried again on my A1 with 'Blitzen' running but that made no difference, either.

There is also a colour box which doesn't change, if you select OK, the colour displayed in the colour list changes and if you re-select edit the colour box displays the new amended colour. I am not sure if the colour box was updated in real time on the A1200, but certainly it is only updated on OS4Final once you have accepted your changes. Unfortunatley, the solid colour box should be updated in real time as you change the options in that window, and even putting DrawStudio on the Blacklist doesn't improve it. So it's not a JIT emulator problem.
