Hi Amigans! I have nearly 50 games to burn for the FPSE emulator and I was wondering what's the best choice. MakeCD? Frying Pan? AmiDVD? Time ago I thinked I could do it with MakeCD but something with the PSX's games copy protection makes me laugh and frustrate my options. With Frying Pan I have not checked it yet. And with AmiDVD with the new on-the-fly option as this program have burned all that I have needed at this time could it be possible to burn and play later this famous games? I am loving and dying to play Xena,Gran Turismo and Resident Evil 3 on my FPSE emulator. Thanks in advance.

@lazi OK too slow maybe better for a future 2.0 GHZ Amiga no? But in the meantime is there too difficult to run Bochs? Can anybody show me the basics to configure the emulator on OS 4.0?

Trying to emulate a PC with BOCHS

Hi My problem is from time ago and I don't have the patience or basic skills to configure and run BOCHS to emulate a PC or AMD Windows computer. My main interest about this is to access the "new" possibilities that offers a PC today.You know Internet Explorer,e-mail,chat or games ar in the mouth of PC users right now I think that is a beatiful oportunity for us to make the world see that an Amiga computer can execute and emulate a PC as it was a real PC. So what are your experiences on BOCHS emulator? Can anybody give a mini-guide to open a new world on my Amiga One computer? What's the best way to install Windows on this and what's the best supported or emulated version of Windows? If any gives me a simple steps to make this happen I will be so grateful with you really. Cheers

@Varthall The problem is with Tyrian enhanced I hope cause with normal Tyrian it runs amazingly well with a Workbench window. Keep up your work! One question Can you tell me how you have adquired such C (I suppose) good skills for program? I am thinking to learn C and to give the community my own vision about how a game should be on the Amiga One. Thanks!

I don't see any option to copy from the sell or paste to Ibrowse so:
(tons of indescifrable letters ex: dXNlcm5hbW
and below it says: 535 invalid user or password (?)
I have the feeling that is the same configuration that uses my YAM 2.4 but why this message?
Thanks for the patience you have here.

@TiredOfLife
On my opinion 400 mhz PPC and 550 mhz PPC are by far a bit outdated by now,but may the ELBOX team have enough resources to deliver some quality PPC cards to join the army of the Amiga 1200/4000 or classic AGA machines.
Best whises to ELBOX for the new year.

@Rudei Yeah Shark PPC must go on Let's stay tuned about Elbox's news on 2008. I have a cool Mikronik Amiga 1300 since more than 2 years on ASB-Computer (how could it happen?) but at the moment I am enjoying my Amiga One fruitful experience as far as I get. Shark PPC is a project that really caught my atention on the beggining of the 21st century.It was two motherboards of 400 Mhz and and awesome 550 Mhz if I remember well. Better to redesign the Shark or maybe we loose here some modern features on this board. Anyway Happy 2008 Elbox!!

@Outcast I have a similar feeling with you! That's that I am using ethernet for more than a year (when my machine was repaired not fixed) and never have problems of magnitude really.Ibrowse and Aweb do it the work for me so well! Sorry but can't help to the problem of first poster. Maybe ACube Systems have the answer?

@Kicko Great game really. At last there are new thingies that deserve our aprobation. Fast,clean and very well done indeed. But on the Tyrian enhanced it has a bug that on fullscreen doesn't work well as pressing the buttons it freezes the system, but I suppose the autor is working hard to find the solution.

@Raziel
Buff...Tried these new settings and the same error appears:
Couldn't connect to SMTP.telefonica.net
That is the same error I get since I have YAM 2.5 on my system.What a pity.
The YAM: assign pointing to the YAM 2.4 dir on the HD could be a innecesary issue too?
In other words,can YAM 2.4 doom YAM 2.5 having this old assign on my user-startup?
I really don't know what to think or explain here cause I am a bit dissapointed with the behaviour that gives me this YAM latest version and it's a really heavy load.
Any ideas on how can I use the 2.5 version without problems?
This could be so long I suppose but I will stay tuned and with some help we can solve it,sure.

@Framiga&Tboeckel OK here on my YAM 2.4 icon Tooltypes I have both the MAILDIR=YAM: assign and the PREFSFILE=.config lines disabled with brackets between so I hope that this will enlighteen us a bit. Amyway I have a YAM: assign pointing to my YAM 2.4 version. Don't know how reacts the system to this two versions of YAM installed on the same partition. Yes I have two of them on the same partition of my HD. I don't imagine or calculate how this happening of the two versions can interact between itselfs.Maybe is a question of time and patience too. Any sugestion or ideas will be welcome. Want you to explain your own experiences about YAM behaviour on your machines? Thanks to all Amigans I think you are helpful and Amigable!

@Framiga Is there a posibility that having a YAM 2.4 assign may corrupt the usability of the latest version? I have this YAM assign on my user-startup and don't know how good is to preserve this on my system. Anyone can ask me to this question?

I have SMTP-AUTH enabled so don't know what is the problem. Anyway I have received mail and that doesn't activate the posibility of sending messages indeed. Anyway nice to see your ideas you post here. Maybe with some time I will get to the point I have to reach.

@Raziel I have tested and configured YAM 2.5 some days ago with a fresh install and copied YAM 2.4 to another partition and nothing changes,the e-mail sending process its on hold for the moment.All of this with a clean install,reconfiguration and previously deleted YAM 2.4 after copying to another place. Almost all the options have been combined in many ways and no more than a bit of frustration cause I can't send my messages with this new version. I am still using YAM 2.4 to send my messages and 2.5 to receive it.Doesn't it a bit paranoid situation? Anyway is the YAM homepage resolutive about concrete issues like this? I am about to forget YAM 2.5 and go back to the YAM 2.4 version if noone or I can give a solution to my problem.
