Wanted to give a shoutout to Michael Rupp for the new upload to OS4Depot (http://www.os4depot.net/share/audio/misc/sonoscontroller.lha). I have a Sonos and it picked it up right away, saw all the services, and the UI is nice too.

I downloaded the 68K Aminet version and I don't see system libraries or any other shared resource.

For the one on OS4Deopt, I see the installer wants you to adds a line to user startup:

( startup "FryingPan"
( prompt "Adding startup assign" )
( help ":]" )
( command "Assign ADD Libs: " ( tackon Target "FryingPan/Libs" ))

Try to comment out that line in your user startup and see if AmigaAMP 3 starts working.

That's what I did with FryingPan. Created an ISO image from a certain 68K OS I recently purchased...

I was able to create an ISO recently using FryingPan:

Took some work and a few reboots on my system to get it all working. The key is to setup the drive in the middle tab before attempting to read or burn.

As someone who has spent time and energy on AmigaOS 4, I have to wonder what kind of commitment Hyperion really has to the NG side. Clearly they have spent a good deal of time on Classic to get this update done. I also suspect that this Classic release might make some real money for them given the amount of hardware out there.

Just seems like a step sideways to me but that's just my opinion.

Good point. Another issue could be the Sata cable or Sata connector. Another item to replace.

Looks like the Kickstart is loading but is getting stuck after that. You should be seeing the X5K logo on the monitor during the start-up process.

Can you interrupt the startup and get to the uboot shell? There is a setting for Amiga OS quiet boot. I forget the exact tag but it's easy to find with "printenv".

I would try another video card. Squirrly things happens if the video card has an issue.

A few months ago my X5K died due to the video card giving up the ghost.

Maybe there is something broken on that side.

Announcing David Pleasance to speak at Amiwest 2020, Oct 24th

Sacramento, CA. Amiwest 2020, the longest-running North American Amiga only computer show is happening this weekend, Oct 24th and 25th.

We are very excited to announce David Pleasance as a speaker. David Pleasance is an iconic figure in the Amiga Universe as the former MD of Commodore UK. David has been busy in recent years with the release of his book “Commodore -- The Inside Story” and has announced a collaboration with Amiwest regular Trevor Dickinson called “From Vultures to Vampires.” This will be David’s first Amiwest appearance and will join live on the Amiwest broadcast.

With the global pandemic, there has been a change in the format both in-person and for the Amiwest broadcast. For those attending in person, the full complement of COVID-19 procedures is in place. Given the restrictions on the number of people allowed on the show floor, the Amiwest organizers decided to greatly expand the Amiwest broadcast efforts.

This year's broadcast will start at 10 AM Pacific time and feature 10 speakers. We are expecting new product announcements and lots of content for every member of the Amiga community. It will truly be the Amiga event of 2020.

It seams to be working now. Because I'm testing I'm using private and unlisted streams and those give the tools trouble. I will update the broadcast page on Amiwest.net with all the latest learnings.

Hi All,

Getting ready for Amiwest broadcasting and I'm having problems playing vidoes with Odyssey. I've found that if I spoof has the iphone6 I can get the page to load and to be able to click vidoes. When I tried to play a video the odyssey player crashed.

Are other folks seeing those same problems? Specificlly with youtube live steams.

Thanks for the information! I had been using "mac mode" so I'll switch to SlirpOpenPorts and see if that works better.

One interesting thing about the internet prefs app is when you select the network device it actually does a probe the device and will populate the "type" string with "Ethernet" if the device is working correctly. I've been an OS 4 user for 16 years and can count on one hand the times I've used the Internet Wizard :)

I had noticed that the C= A2025 device stopped probing correctly when I enabled audio. Is that expected?
