@VooDoo

After the error, click on ok.
Then type in a known url and hit return.
Close down netsurf and then reopen it.

@VooDoo

Did that to me as well the first couple of time I tried it.
It's been fine ever since.
No idea why.
Not doing anything any different.

Say no.
You can edit options like that when it's up and running.

@Mikey_C

Try reducing the hardware involved.

Maybe install initially without the Bvision and connect to a telly instead.

Use a split cable, no buffered interface.

I seem to recall that last suggestion worked for someone elsewhere.

Vaguely remember something about not formatting properly.
DOS7 or SFS, otherwise the lack of longname support will block the final bit of installation.

I read on Amigaworld that Sputnik should also be available soon for oS4.

Netsurf, OWB, Sputnik and maybe IBrowse3 in the near future.

Looking good at long last.

@Mikey_C

I experienced some similar when the partition wasn't completely empty.

I had something in the trashcan, nowhere else.

Got rid of it and I could then get the install to finish.

Got a bit over ambitious and tried to control my Miggy by controlling the PC controlling my Miggy.

Not the best idea.
The relevant screens show on each machine, but that's the best I could manage.
The cursor bounces all over the show when trying to access the remote Miggy screen from the Miggy.

Had to be tried and you all know it.

@Mikey_C

Been wanting to have a go at this for a long time.
Always though it would be quite complex.
Until I'd seen Mikey had managed it,that is.

So buoyed by the theory if Mikey can do it, so can I, I have tried remoting to and from my A1200.

Used TightVNC on the PC.
Used AmiVNC4 and TwinVNC on the Miggy.

Was quite straightforward.
Could be very handy in the future.

Accessing the PC from the Miggy is a lot quicker than accessing the miggy from the PC.

I'm sure there are plenty here who could explain why.

Mediator Hardware Issues

Have had a few issues since upgrading a Mediator SX to TX.

Spider USB card fails under OS4 but works fine under 3.9.
Error message shown in Poseidon.

20-poseidon.library: Opening Devs:USBHardware/spider.device unit 2 failed bad length (-4).
20-poseidon.library: Opening Devs:USBHardware/spider.device unit 0 failed bad length (-4).
20-poseidon.library: Opening Devs:USBHardware/spider.device unit 1 failed bad length (-4).

Sound Card modes shown in AHI but sound comes out garbled under OS4 but sounds fine under 3.9.

Tried to use native OS4 drivers for the Radeon card using SX and TX mode.
After switching on the machine, after the purple screen and reboot, the boot process just stops.

Tried to use Elbox drivers but P96 doesn't show the Radeon Board to attach to.

Anyone else has similar problems or successfully installed any of the above?

@Rogue

Is this likely to work on a 160mhz BPPC?

Jagged Alliance 2 Gold Pack New ?5.95 plus ?1.95 postage and packaging.

Would be worth it if I could get it running with the above hardware.

Tried booting into AGA mode, worked fine.

Replaced a Voodoo 4500 with a Voodoo 5500, that also worked fine.

So problem solved.

So if Elbox can just sort out my USB and audio card problems, I will be a happy man.

@Rogue

Not much to report.
Just tried a fresh installation with nothing else installed other than the Feb update.

Switch the miggy on after a few seconds it reboots and keeps on doing so every few seconds.

Spoke too soon regarding the upgrade from SX to TX.
Had some issues with both 3.9 and 4.0.

Elbox have sorted out my 3.9 issues so all is well there.
I have even managed to get Warp3D working again on 3.9 and have been playing Hertic II so all is great in the 3.9 world.

Have lost the use of USB and sound cards under 4.0 with the Elbox drivers.

When using the native OS4 drivers, my machine just continually reboots itself.

It's easy enough to switch back to SX mode and I have 3.9 installed so not a big problem at the min.

Hopefully this is not a big problem and a solution can be found soon.
