Re: Interest for Payback on OS4?

@Rudei

I am not sure if Payback runs on my OS4.0 Final.
Payback is a good car-street-kill game and I played it
when I have OS4#update4 installed the demo only.

Why not to port or make a patch to run on OS4.1?

I am happy to say I ordered AmigaOS4.1 for AmigaOne
to AmigaKit this week.

@nubechecorre

I had mounted a C drive on Dosbox but I don't know remember
how to activate it.Yes I have to mount a CD-Rom.
Some games doesn't boot because they request some Win.32 driver
or similar.
Anyway I can try to search on google but I am asking here how to mount
a CD-Rom with this emulator.
If it is complicated I will try to do my best but first I
prefer to search information on an Amiga forum than another.

The mayority of the PC games runs but others needs installation
and I believe Windows 3.1 can do the work,I have it on a
CD.

I have some notes on my notebook from here I think,but doesn't
work yet.

Dosbox I think is capable to run early Windows versions.

The CD dir is D:/ what's the commands needed?

What are the steps to run a CD on Dosbox?

@samo79

Yes we need a good coder to port MAME from Morphos to OS4!!!

It would be great to see how fast the arcades can run on a version no SDL dependant.

Are there other ports portable for OS4?

@jahc

xMAME runs Capcom games and NEO-GEO ones at 60 fps on my A1
XE G3/800 Mhz blastingly fast on window not as fast on fullscreen.
Did you run the beat'em'ups on fullscreen or window?
I have the same model of AmigaOne as you.

But sometimes I get a problem with Spy Hunter at fullscreen the sound turns noisy and unaudible.

Someone knows why?

And I saying this because recently I buyed and replaced
my Soundblaster128 with a new ESI JULI@ that was recommended by someone on AmigaWorld.

Any have noise or similar with ESI JULI on any program?

Yeah that's what I like!

Specially if Mame on Morphos is on 0.120/0.121 or a newer version than the 0.97 that is the latest and the unique I remember for AmigaOne.

Is there a page or link to the OS4 MAME port?

The Morphos version?

I think MAME for Morphos is faster than our OS4 version.

What number version is Morphos MAME?

On OS4 xMAME is fast but not as it should be because it is a PC port,is right?

I would like to know more how the Morphos version is and the OS4 version both compared.

Re: How can I run Bermuda Syndrome?

@Elwood

I extracted the archive of Bermuda Syndrome and copied the contents of BERMUDA to the "data" dir of the Amiga's game dir.After installing the data in the correct path...

Finally the game runs and I am very pleased with the results at the moment!

The game runs on window showing the intro with music and the game seems to be excellent!
Later I begin to play and the graphics and the voices in english meet my taste.Is a game that I plan to investigate and play and play again.

Is very smooth and the voices capturated me.

The only thing I have to object is the language that is french.I don't know why the game subtitles are in french and the voices in english.

Is there a version of Bermuda Syndrome with english as default language?I would like to know it.

Happy gaming at the moment I have!

I get the same message after following your steps.

I suppose is a question of configuration but what can I do now?

I copied all the files to "data" and leave the OS4 ones on the game dir.

Hi Amigans!

I have Bermuda Syndrome on my HD and after trying to start it with the correct paths it says:

ERROR: Unable to open '../bermuda.ovr'!

I changed the paths after reading the README file for OS4
and then it shows this message.

I have the feeling that it's a great game and I really want to see if it runs on my OS4.0+July update.

Of course I have all the data files on the game dir.
What about the music files?Any link where I can download it?

Any help will be really appreciated

Re: AmigaOne U-Boot bugs - please read

@Rogue

On my case Ihave a bug on U-Boot prefs on Workbench.
This has been when I try to change the boot devices for my Sill0680 card and when I try to disable all the other possible boot sources like VIA686 and others.
After marking al the options when I click on save it shows the parameters to be changed,yes or no on the top left of the window (unclickable) and on the bottom it says UBoot:requester window.Notice that I have all is spanish and I am doing the translation the more accurate I can.

Then I click on the botton of the bottom window and nothing is changed.
If I try to cancel it's impossible to exit the prefs program.

So at the moment I can do nothing but configure on the real U-Boot.

Notice that this bug is on OS 4.0 Final July update.

Thanks for staying here with the community Rogue.

Frying Pan and Audio CDs
Quite a regular
Quite a regular

I burned two CDs yesterday and the problem was that some make the transmission of the data wrong so the AIFF icons are like tool icons or similar some of them.
I was using FP0.41.
Today I tried with FP1.32 and it refuses to burn the tracks.

The thing I want to do is convert the MP3 files to AIFF and simply burn and make the CD listenable.

But the reason why I write this is because the CD tracks that I have burned sounds like a continuous noise playing all the time.This behaviour doesn't happen last months and I burned well several audio CDs.

On Frying Pan 0.41,what are the options I have to manipulate to make some good audio CDs?

The CDs I am using are of the CD32 reused cause the don't boot on the machine.
