The first time, copy the message you want to quote, change to
DHTML, paste it and reply,,,the next time you are on DHTML,
at least on AWeb it remembers your choice and the message is
also there on the bottom

@ssolie

To be honest, i believe everything first when it comes to announcement
in the Amiga market whatsoever...may it be hardware, software, freeware,
beautiful girls in red and white checked bikinis offering me drinks on
white peebled beaches...
leaving aside me dreams i normally cannot check the truth of these
announcements, so i'm bound to stay and see what comes out of it...

besides, the waiting time is the by far most best time, the anticipation
for a new product, it's like christmas the whole year

...and pushing the devs doesn't lead to anything, it only produces stress
and stress kills imagination

Let's hope for a calm and peaceful christmas this year, that's all i wish
for...everything else positive, whatever it may be, will be a wonderful
surprise and considered a present

Let's share a wonderful christmas, shall we?

Alien Nations for MOS

Titan ported it to MOS, but i doubt that there will be an AmigaOS4
version from them ever...i could be wrong though (also about the rights
status when it comes to who might/want/is allowed to port it)

Re: AmigaOS4 support

@samwel

I'd say Kickstart/ATIRadeon.chip is the one doing all the work.
Check the version, i got ATIRadeon.chip 51.13 (06.06.2005).

What screenmodes did you put in the Monitor file, the exact line,
please. It has to look like this: MODE=800x600@60

I'd always use 60Hz at the end, unless you KNOW your monitor can
handle more Hz

Could you post the complete Tooltypes here, maybe you got a
glitch somewhere else?

Re: New graphics cards supported by AmigaOS 4 final?

@Niolator

Well, as i don't like fans on gfx cards (they are all noisy
as hell) and as i have silence my A1 completely, i put this
baby on my 9800, never had problems, though yet to be tested
when the 3D chip kicks in...you loose a PCI port but you win
silence

What i'm trying to say is, drop the fan, get heatpipes,
they ain't expensive

Me too, but remembering post from the devs, it's not part of
the 3D software (MESA/OpenGL) but rather the drivers which
have yet to be written for the R3xx chips

Is there anyone here who can say if cards like Radeon 9500 or 9700 will be supported?

Yup, the devs at Hyperion

I'm afraid that you have to wait for new drivers as the 9500
and 9700 also use the yet to be supported R2xx chip series

Re: Amiga Micro and DMA
Home away from home
Home away from home

If you don't have problems with your HD (is DMA on?) destroying
files/data while copy operation from/to DVD/CD, than i would'nt
point to the DMA, of course you can always try watching the DVD
with DMA turned off

idetool -x youride.device your_unit_nr 63
e.g.
idetool -x sii0680ide.device 2 63

this sets your DVD to the fastest PIO mode, won't be saved
so at the next start it will be back to DMA), you can set it
back by hand with idetool -x sii0680ide.device 2 66

See if the DVD plays fine, but i doubt it

Wild guess:
Have you tried memtester to see if your mem is faulty?

Another wild guess:
Does it happen with all of your DVD's?
If not DVPlayer may choke on that specific DVD!?
