1. Low profile TV cards exist. 2. With the chipset needed for amiTV, thats become verry hard to found. Failed untill now... 3. The final point is an interesting TV card one because soon DVB-T only on lots of countries.
I don't know if Spirantho have planned to support other chipset (one on low profile PCI TV cards of course).

@COBRA
the first problem is to found Cx2388x cards low profile for SAM with small and silent small case like mine (mapower KC or Red One).
In general fact, SAM users are verry proud to have small and silent case but just let the possibility to have small PCI low profile inside...

@Spirantho this kind of low profile (small vertically size) PCI card maybe work on SAM on little vertically size case like RedOne. Hauppauge wintv nova T500. http://www.svmlemag.fr/tests/0817/hauppauge_wintv_nova_t_500(french link for the picture). NOTE: no chance, DiBcom DB3000-P chipset based. I don't think, @Spirantho, you have planned to support input/output camrecorder, webcam,.... features on sofisticated TV cards that mean maybe this kind of Tv cards with just an antenna output is sufficient. This format could be used on all amigaNG, maybe even SAM-NG amigas on small case. The HVR1300 is too big for a SAM on small case. For sure, this kind of TV card must be fitted well on normal case for Aone,..... I don't understand you not found one or two betatesters for your software. Amiga users with a TV card should exist and by verry chance with the required chipset.... ??? (Have just post a news on a french amiga news site). @voodoo the PCTV card work great on the classic. allow me to redirect the PAL screen to TV software on the 1200 for playing PAL games with WHDload. Just the comp from the 1200 isn't top quality

@Spirantho Yes, you are right, a bundle with your software and a PCI TV card for all amiga-NG will be perfect. Maybe a dealer could make something, amigakit ??? Have searching on an internet computer site about TV cards and more and more become PCI-E and verry hard (but possible to found PCI card of course) to found low profile PCI TV cards and at the end not sure, if using your required chipset. BTW, the pinnacle PCTV TV card I have is too big for the SAM (need low profile PCI TV card). About the idea: just the SAM since a few weeks and not known before your program. I'm using a classic untill now Too bad there are no list with TV card based of Bt8x8 or Cx2388x chipset-based card somewhere..... hey... http://www.chris-tv.com/cards.html

@Spirantho
have just found my pinnacle PCTV card but too high vertically for my small SAM on Mapower case.
Maybe the first step is to found model of TV cards that work with your software and one enough small to be use on mini tower case like the RED One. Thats could interest amiga resellers IMHO.
Maybe hard to found betatesters for your software because just the idea to have a TV card on an amiga-NG is so new (I have a SAM since a few weeks only) ???
Hum... small PCI TV card exist for a SAM amiga on RED ONE case ???
If not the case, hope you will found someone for testing on AONE/PEGASOS...

hello,
Elbox arrive to support a lots of number of TV cards with a TV.library (10ko) and a header located on env/mediator) and a third party TV program (superTV or TVR).
there are surely some common ressources or things to know to use lots of differents TV card models succesfully at least on classic /mediator/aos3.x/elbox software.
I'm wondering to see a TV card working on my mediator -hum...AOS4.1) but I think the PCTV PCI card I have (temic 4046FM5) on my classic not work because not the good Voltage ??
List a TV supported by elbox are on the elbox site...
NOTE:
BT848-849-878-879: finally like all cards supported by elbox.
NOTE2:
Why not asking help from TV software authors for mediator like superTV 1.0 or TVR 3.0. Maybe they could provide to you their source code (SuperTV) or support your aos4 library (TVR - because allways developped).

@Raziel finally my USB 16GO FAT32 copy problem here: http://www.amigans.net/modules/newbb/ ... hp?topic_id=2607&forum=22look like the one raziel have seen also. See the link to konw what happened exactly but in short. 1. copy the DH0: to 16go USB2 FAT32 give a crash first time with big files and 8+3 files. crash when copying amicygnix drawer. format to FAT32 the USB key again with a XP PC. 2. copy the DH0: again and OK this time but 11 .dummy files (1 bytes each) can't be copied (source is share/icons/... from amicygnix). the copy failed with opus4 and dirmaster2 AOS4.1. strange because all the others .dummy files copied without problems. maybe too much .dumy files or too long path ??? symptoms: copy failed make a getsize with dopus4 show zero bytes on the drwaer who must have the .dummy files but when try to copy again, filemanagers said that the file allready exist. this problem with the 11 .dummy files. also the ROX main exe (from rox-filer drawer) give an error rom dopus4 but the copy is OK finally. Please try to copy: -amicygnix/cygnixPPC/share/icons to an USB empty key formated with FAT32 with aos4.1/SAM.

the problem is finally the same also when copying with dirmaster2 ppc.
Maybe softlink is the problem but amicygnix was just been installed from the archive ???
How can I verify if a softlink is used here with the 11 .dummy files ???

@all
the test is copying my whole DHx: (with amicygnix a part of) with dopus4 PPC last version (64 bit copy enabled) on a OCZ USB key 16go.
- first time, key crashed. 8+3 caracters ????
- second time, work but 11 bytes mising from 11 .dummy files with 1 bytes of size each (see places on my previous post).
- amicygnix/rox hard to copy (error message on dopus4ppc but copy is done finally).
NOTE: have seen the matrix blanker freeze BTW.
I'm just searching to discover if dopus4PPC have a bug when copying .dummy files from amicygnix. for sure, the other method to make a .lha for all the system work better.
please try to reproduce this problem by copying amicygnix drawer on one of your USB key (empty).

@all
investigate more the AOS4 copy of my key. 9 bytes are lost between the original on the SAM and the copy on the USB key.
-amicygnix/./cygnixPPC/share/icons/amigaos4/48x48/stock/net
dopus4 PPC: size 0. missing .dummy file (1 byte). copy the file from the original. OK. but size 0 again. move the key on the classic/poseidon/spider2 and size =0 and really no file inside.
-amicygnix/./cygnixPPC/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/stock/net/
same as the previous examples.
- dopus4 PPC copy the file but zero if size but file real when seing inside the drawer.
- dopus4 68k really zero inside and no file inside.
lots of .dummy with 1 bytes inside on amicygnix but sometime dopus4 ppc sometime failed to copy some .dummy files.
Tested to copy alone rox file over the one on the USB key and no problems.
Look like a problem with dopus4 PPC. Not said that dopus4PPC crash my first copy of the system on the key. at least, sometime, error when copying small files from amicygnix drawer.
maybe someone else could confirm by copying this part of amicygnix on an usb key.

@all
I have made another same test yesterday.
Amicygnix problems:
-dopus4 PPC give a requester who said: impossible to copy ROX. I choose continue but rox is finally copied.
-Dopus4 PPC give a requester who said: impossible to copy .dummy file 1 bytes (allready exist).
As amicygnix have 4 or 5 .dummy files copied on the amicygnix drawer, the size of amicygnix copied on the key is 5 bytes less.
Maybe Dopus4 PPC have problems with .dummy files with 1 bytes or crossdosfilesystem ????
During the copy, I have encountered the glmatrix blanker freezed. AOS4 freezed and just jump to wb screen during the dopus4 rox and .dummy errors.
At the end of the copy, DSI from Dopus4 PPC: dopus:hotkeez on the requester but the pointer was freezed. Impossible to save the output.
Finally, the copy was fine and all on the USB key but:
- Dopus4 PPC problems or crossdosfilesystem problems or USB driver problems ???
Maybe I will test again soon the same test with filemaster AOS4 to see if also problems.
Maybe finally I have found dopus4 PPC problems (I use the last version with 64 bit copy enabled).

usb 16go key copy problem on SAM and AOS4.1 U1 (now)

hello,
new OCZ 16go rally usb key, since one week. Copy for the third time with. first copy was some ko, second copy was some mo, last copy was the entire AOS4 software (for save) around 1GO. SAM+aos4.1 system used.
the copy has been made with dopus4 PPC (last version translated in french).The copy was pratically finished (around the GO copied) but suddenly, on the amicygnix part, impossible to create lots of drawer located on amicygnix.
NOTE:I remember the place of the drawers on amicygnix.
I stop the copy with dopus4 and impossible to make another copy.
the key show his name with poseidon/classic but impossible to create a copy on. linux debian unable to recognize/mount the key. Same with vista.
this morning, at job, the key has been recognized by XP and possible to format (normal and quick) the key with XP, and actually trying to full the key with datas. NOTE: 4go copied without problems.
content of the corrupted key (from a grab before formating the key with XP):
t-firm ..if 1673886 ko p $&.\".cov 1661659 ko p&.bp1&..pg 1824969 ko nt-abstr.act 1624963 ko ov@print.-da file folder ov@print.-ti file folder
impossible to copy or delete. fortunately, format fat32 work with XP. (Of course, the original files are AOS4 OS and AOS4 programs, no files with around 1.6 go each).
the fault: AOS4.1 - dopus4 PPC - this new key (actually filled with XP) ????? don't know really....
If you have advices...
1. all files look like are 8+3 files. 2. key was FAT32 formated on factory.

@Gebrochen Have just the place for 1 keyboard and this PS2 keyboard used also with my classic amiga I use to answer you actually. Thats funny to say: buy New TFT, New USB keyboard,.... to me because I'm sure if YOU will buy A PC and have your old hardware not working, you will not be verry happy, like me. I'm sure I could buy the last PC and have all my old harware working ON but It's not my wish of course NOTE: Have added on my first post the card readers and also my fuji F30 NOT WORKING also with my SAM (who work great with spider2/poseidon on the classic). No masstorage.usbfd on sys:devs/usb/fd/ (just hid and ptp), please check on your aos4.1 install please ???

hello, SAM here since 2 days now. my experience. - DVI2SVGA give bad result on a CRT monitor. grey vertical line at the left of the screen or right of window opened. - Use USB adaptator for ps2 mouse and ps2 keyboard. Recognized with aos4.1 but not for the Uboot screen or for the choose AOS4 or Linux (or I don't know use a keyboard and choose linux during the boot). - USB: (all hardware use original filesystem) 1. PSP: OK 2. Card Reader HAMA 19 in 1:OK. 2. Card reader IT 9 in 1: OK. 3. 3 HD USB 2,5 lacie: NOT WORK. 4. cowon7, X5, A2: NOT WORK. 5. key 1go jumdrive elite: NOT WORK. 6. Fuji F30: NOT WORK. (usb ptp scanner done) and requester removed, but no Fuji Icons. 7. Sharkoon USB->PS2 converter: WORK with: -sweex multimedia keyboard PS2. -logitech 2buttons and wheel PS2 (from an old PC). NOT WORK mean hardware recognized (I think all) but finally no icons on the WB screen. Maybe mainly a problem with FAT filesystem. Maybe something missing on AOS4.1 install ??? All the mentionned hardware work great with my classic amiga with poseidon registered and spider2. - REV C board without: J7 - GPIO. J8 - JTAG. J4 - FPGA. J27 - ???. J10 - I2C. the J4 port at lesat given some hope for additionnal hardware but no connector present. The main fact is if you baught a SAM (1000 euros all included): Impossible to use old CRT monitor, old USB key,... and have paid for a MB with connectors missing with rev C board and in the futur must buy also the I/O addons maybe one day released by Acube, thats killed me !!. I'm very diseapointed.... One thing I'm sure is not to have a feedback from Acube here and send us a mail about problems without luck to have answer. The SAM used one hour first day, 15 minuts yesterday, I thing not used this day....

@drHirudo Bernd_AFA try to update SDL.library 68k actually (see on utilitybase.com) and port some others SDL.library too. Of course tested here give 100% CPU allways for SDL apps. If you could elaborate more about this problems (if you have a good knowledge about this problem), you are welcomed here I will transmit to bernd_AFA of course. The other way is give direclty the informations to bernd_AFA if you are a user of utilitybase.com or an other method. Thanks in advance. If someone else have the skill about the 100% CPU SDL.library fact, please inform us here, thanks
