Re: Report your 'AmigaOS 4.0 Final' bugs here!

Lio,

Are you sure your DSL provider requires a "dial-up" and "log-in" like procedure?

My connection is definitely ADSL, but I used the "router, cable modem" option to set up my connection. It had been so long since I had done this, that I ussed PPPoE on my firtst attempt. WIth that, I got the same error message you got.

Shame on you!

BTW, also off topic -- What model/year is your Studebaker?

Thanks for the chance to chalk up another post! (almomst like a tag team, aren't we?)

The Stude is a 1950 Land Cruiser. It's definitely a typical midwestern rust bucket project car. The front floors are pretty much gone, along with the rockers. But it runs and "yard drives". And until "Amigans.net" opened up, it proved to be a lot more fun as a hobby than Amiga's.

True. That's courtesy of CrossDOS, though.

Niolator,

Trouble is, I was just shooting in the dark when I redid the old one to work with OS4 for the LS120 disks. I don't really understand all of the why's and wherefor's of mount lists, either! But the information in the mountlist didn't really change. It was just the formatting and ordering of that information that had to be redone to get it working.

Now my LS120 drive is bad, so I can't really check anything with it anyway.

But it's my understanding that if the floppy support is missing from the OS to begin with, then no amount of fiddling with the LS120 mounter will get it to read classic Amiga floppies.

Mikey,

Got 'em all in there. Even the stuff sitting in boxes is listed.

Thanks for the suggtestion. I replaced the UD4 version with the UD3 RX command. But that didn't help with my problem.

Re: Downloads with AWeb

Raziel,

"The "" addressing scheme is not implemented in this version of AWeb" is the message I get in Aweb when I send an URL from Thor.

This is not using OpenURL. I'm using an Arexx script built in with Thor. It used to work fine. But in more recent revisions of AWeb, I can only get this message.

There's another Arexx script in Thor called GetNet which gives two options: either send the URL directly to the browser (gets me the same error message as above) or send it to the hot list of the bowser for later opening. That one works OK with the current AWeb if all I do is send it to the hotlist.

Does that give any clues?

Andy,

will this allow Aweb to properly handle httpThor resuests to bring up a web page directly from an email?

Ironically, I finally tracked down the vague references to a new site by reading it on Moo Bunny, after doing a google search for "MikeyC" and "website."

It mmight be the first time I've ever found something really useful on the bunny.
