@abalaban Line 22 in Startup-Sequence is AmigaOS4's AmiSSL install, since final "official" part of AmigaOS. 1. Do a reboot and then type assign in a shell window, there you'll see where your AmiSSL assign goes, i suspect an external program is interfering (maybe some program adds an assign on startup without using ADD and deleting the OS4 AmiSSL one)? 2. If the behaviour is reproduceable, let Snoopyrun before it happens and see what happens exactly.

@abalaban
Seems to be a "wrong" AmiSSL assign (or a doubled somewhere).
Check your user-startup fpr pre final AmiSSL: assigns and remove them, no need since final

@COBRA
But isn't that the way it's supposed to be?
I mean dnetc eats all idle cpu time and so does the CPU docky shows it.
You'd need something like a task manager.

@Outcast OI Where do you live? In a mansion? Can you even walk without stepping on one of these kittens? Or could it be that these kitties aren't all "Amiga" kittens? Cuteys, though, thanks for the link, filed a bugreport already AWeb is crashing on this site!

They even sell the games on CD (upto 3000 on one single CD) and i highly doubt that they have all the rights needed to do so.

Nowhere on this site is a disclaimer to be found that explicitely states if download of the games available are legal (At least i didn't find any)
I'd be rather suspicious about this site

@Raziel So, i had to explicitely tell the CSPPC what i have installed in the CSPPC early bootup menu. What was able to stay at AUTO with every single SCSI-2 device i installed before is not with this crazy UWSCSI HD ... lets wait and see how the ordered UWSCSI CD performs Anyway, i have it working now, thanks to the great community for the suggestions and help YAY UWSCSI speed...

It's impossibe without using (inline) assembler.
Oh, ok Quote: If someone wants to write another program to display it as well I could write a cpu.library which returns the current temperature (or -1 for CPUs which don't support it), as well as the current CPU usage since the method used by most programs (CPUCLock.docky, etc.) isn't accurate and breaks everything else trying to do the same as well, and it breaks CPUTemp.docky too. But that would only help if everything displaying the CPU temperature and/or CPU usage would use this new library.
Hmm, that would be a little over the top, wouldn't it? Nah, i think you should leave it as it is, at least you got the things i need implemented already (SETENV and NOGUI), so i'm ok with how it is. Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer

CSPPC: UW SCSI HD does not appear in Early Startup Menu (SOLVED)

I got me this UW SCSI HD (8.4 GB) and would like to install it. strangely it won't show up in Ear5ly Startup Menue.
It DOES show up in HDToolBox (i can install and partition it, it even shows up in Mounter and i can mount it. But nothing comes up on WB and i cannot format it, because there is nothing to format?
Suggestions very welcome
Term - CSPPC - HD (No Term) - Adapter to 50 pin - CD (Term)
It worked before like this (but i haven't had a UWSCSI HD on the chain yet.) Do i need to buy me another active Terminator for the second end of the chain?
I'm out of ideas here, what drives me mad is that the drive IS accessable, maybe it's just a plain stupid mistake i'm still doing here?
Help, please
TIA
edit: Funny, as programs like SCSIBench that directly access cybppc.device can actually work with the device, but it refuses to show up on WB!?
edit2: Seems i am not allowed to install the SFS FS directly onto the HD, at least, if i install the disk with FFS and use Mounter i can access the partitions ... well, going forward... edit2a: Well, you ARE allowed to install it directly, alas one shouldn't change the descriptor of the FS (was the to say CFS/00, i changed it to SFS/00 and boooooom)

Thank you
