The old 'bugged' one is at Yahoo Groups. I don't have OS4.1 yet, sorry.

It's nice being able to run the newer OWB revisions again. Anything else I was using under 4.0 is still working under 4.1, except for a really irritating screen redraw issue in AWeb.

Oh god, that's gotta smart! Did you screwup the 'rotator cup' real bad? Hope you recover ok without too manyside effects!

No, the cuff is all good. They had to sew up a lot of torn muscles and tendons, and put a long rod down the humorous bone with a metall ball at the top to replace the shattered "ball joint." Typing is a little awkward for now (among other things!!)

@Snuffy

When did you add the Studenakers? I'vgve never seen those before?

When I tried to apply the Gold theme I do have, I had a lot of weird behaviors. That's when I devided to "roll my own."

You also need reqtools.l.main, as well as reqtools.library. I have the same version of reqtools.library as you, and it works fine. You can get it from Here on OS4Depot.

That did it. Thanks, Swoop!

Easy surfing to my favorite sites along with the latest program improvements now makes OWB the browser of choice for me.

Now you did it! I had to go dig up my photobucket details so I could post some pics! Good thing I'm sitting around the house bored to tears while a shattered shoulder heals.

Here's two shots:

Just a little add on: You can also change the transparence of the titlebar by manipulating the mask of the image.

Have fun!

I am. I haven't been able to find the time to use my Amiga like I would like to, until this accident with my shoulder. Typing is a bit awkward, but it's still fun!

By default a bitmap-skin is used, you need to disabel it if you want to change the color. Or you could edit the bitmap.

Thanks for pointing that out. I put the image in ImageFX and made a copy of the skin file in a color I liked.

@PEB

OK, progress, it opens and works using this newest version of your program. I had gone back to an older version in order to use my accumulated addresses.

However, adding in addresses from notepad to the quicklist doesn't result in any changes. WHen I click on a blank link, I get a pop up saying it cannot load reqtools.library. (I have version 39.3) and complains about line 330 of addressbook.hws (I assume a Holloywood script file?) "in function: String Request".

@PEB

Thanks, Paul. I don''t remember if I used the old one in it's entirety or just copied over my address list. I'll try using all the stuff from the 213 archive.

Has anyone succeeded in changing the Active Title Bar color for the acvtive window? I've changed a bunch of GUI prefs to a Gold theme, but I cannot get the Title Bar for the active window to change from the default blue.

This is a clean install of 4.1

@orgin

replying with 213.

what's the syntax needed for changing the toooltype for BOOKMARKSCOMMAND?

Do I just replace "%s" with OWB.1, or OWB.rexx, or what?

PEB's address book opens up on top of the running OWB, but every time I choose an address, it pops up a requestor window saying I have to have OWB running before the button will work.

Sorry, I'm REXX illiterate!!

Wow! Thanks Joerg.

eBay motors works as well as if not better than Firefox on the neighboring Windoze box.

It should be fun to combine OWB with 4.1 when I can afford it. Wouldn't take much more than bookmarks and Arexx port to make this complete for me!

You're work is amazing, and amazingly fast!

@Mikey_C

Ahhh . . . now I've logged in with OWB 2.7 and see the floating 4.1's. THey don't show up in AWeb.

I like the colors for now. But after a while, I suppose I won't notice these a lot, either.

@joerg

Thanks, Joerg. I can open just about anything now without getting a DSI like I got in some of the earlier versions of Blastoise. I've done a couple of complete shopping trips at Newegg with 2.7

Once we have bookmarks back or Arexx (for PEB's address book) I won't need much else.

Re: OWB 2.4

@joerg

.What PEB says, mostly. 2,4 works well with amigans.net. MUCH faster with sites overall. However, at http://www.studebakerdriversclub.com tring to click on the "CLICK HERE" link on the forums page just can't be done. I can't get the mouse to activate the link. In older versions of OWB, I could "fine tune" the mouse location by using the scroll wheel on the page. This doesn't work in this particular case, whether I open this page in the original window, or try it in a new window.

Overall, great progress though.

Thanks.

Paul

edit: I just re-read some posts and I guess these are links which must be produced by javascript. Never mind then. I'll wait for next progress release. Thanks

I dun'no. Would that be considered a liberal or a conservative point of view?

I'm waiting to see how things go, right now. I've spent too much money on 53 year old car parts, so I need to wait a while before I can afford OS 4.1.

@joerg

Thank you! amigans.net works really well, anyway!

I'll play a little more while I'm waiting for all kinds of update downloads to correct problems with my wife's new Vista laptop.

ebay motors is definitely working faster. But on the parts and accessories pages, trying to narrow down the searches with menu choices is harder to get through than it was with Blastoise. But I'm confident this will proceed as nicely as the previous version. Thanks, Joerg
