Re: AmigaOS port of libsmb2

@BSzili

I can confirm that behavior when using a file manger like DOpus to do the delete.

However the delete works ok for me when using Workbench to do the delete even if the directory is not empty .

@salass00

New issue :

Something seems to go to sleep after no file activity for a long time making the share unreachable .

@salass00

In my case renaming 7500.Last.TCD.info to 7501.Last.TCD.info
fails with no visible error condition shown .

actually the file vanishes and reappears on refreshing the directory window with the original name .

@salass00

Thanks for this port.

I am seeing some issues were a few things that work with shares mounted with smbfs don't currently work with smb2-handler .

Noticed with files created with AmigaOS and applications.
have not had a chance to check other files .

Moving files between directories on the SAMBA share won't work.
Files created with TurboCalc .

Name format

7500.Foo.TCD
7500.Foo.TCD.info

Renaming an info file with the format below also is not working.
in this case there is just the info file used a reference .

7500.Last.TCD.info
7400.First.TCD.info

@rjd324

Fails with a share mounted with smbfs .

Works if using a share mounted with the new libsmb2 .

@rjd324

The video plays back ok for me.
Both DVPlayer and Emotion.
Radeon RX and the Enhancer hardware acceleration.

What Filesystem are you using for the playback ?
I use SFS/02 (from the Enhancer package ) for my video storage and playback .

also works from sfs/00 partition .

@rjd324

So the problem is probably the actual Codec
: MSNV (MSNV/mp42/isom) codec.

@SinanSam460

The eeprom rewrite seems to be failing or writing a bad image
so the board does not reach of finish the initializing stage.
The red and orange lights don't flash .

@M3x & SinanSam460

There is definitely a problem of some sort .

Updating via DVD drive using the "55" version .
no error but no boot after pressing "R" at the end of the process.

@m3x & SinanSam460

Thanks.

Found the bios chip from my first Sam460ex .
Managed to get it to boot using this one.
Pondering my options for the update.

will try to find a working dvd drive .
And work slower if I do attempt the U-Boot Update .

The socket on my board has always seemed to be a bit flaky.
Have had to put pressure on the chip to get the board to boot from time to time over the years.
Had the same issue with the old chip that I just installed also .
Made several attempt at re inserting the chip before it worked consistently.
