There is a sticker with many others on the MB. Could there be anything told by these how old/flawless/fixable/good these machines are if compared if some of You can get easy access to take a look for comparison.

(The CPU is an 933MHz, works clocked from 800 to the 933. No "AC97?"/sound integrated, socket empty, some 3COM chip found, Mem at 133MHz etc.)

That was Maybe on the Serial-port but I just closed the (luckily easy) A1 hood for tonight I'm done.

Thought about the 7451, my other processor says 7455 (as the one now running I remember, well at the socket less?) WB titlebar says 7445/7455 . Only numbers?

I changed from 800 to 933MHz with a 1x 512MB Kingston stick
and just had a look at the memory speed and it is at 133, never changed that.

Very true that differences have been made just eg. the A500... Nothing worked in mine with "green-orange" lights after the third change from the shop, maybe the rev?DD???? nowbody knows.. Everything worked with the original "green-red" lighted with my friend. Now we are in spec's and numbers. Not so very happy situation. Maybe Eytech & the other company(s) tried to make them better as they were comming out (as they did?)

I bought this 9250 one because my 8500LE (64Mb)is not supported. Cost about 40? from a local shop (35? from the net) and as a bonus is passive cooled and now is quieter together with a newer fan for the cpu clocked to 933Mhz-original speed. The temperature dropped from 54C to
23C (800Mhz) and is now 27C (933Mhz). Specs:

I hear You. Good experiences from the past also.(DP,NewTech's DigiViewGold, (had to travel for that in a train to get it when a kid to get camera grabs with the funny lenses,ActionReplay-fun and all the thousand rest things))
Only hopes for DeluxePaint6, FinalWriter2007, Protrackerxxx and VistaPro2007 could be dreamed on.

Luckily IB3 should be comming. Apps apps apps what we need indeed! A html wysiwyg editor, Skype, drawing program,text-editor... Put our visa-card in action!

My Thanks comes now to Visio program from Italy and I learned some words(Apri...)for seeing the digipictures and offcourse this IB2,4.

Minuses are the Mplayer etc. not working atm but a new Radeon should be comming and hopes are up that it is supported better than this older one.

I ordered The TM-magazines winner Colour-Laser printer at the same time as the Radeon(128Mb for about 37?) and some 512Mb Kingston for the A1. All are put "returnable" if doesn't work for me. Will be hearing soon from me. This and that don't work... Hopefully not;)

The Voodoo is old? If it works, its great!

A fast reply please? What kind of memory does the A1XE need as there is a Kingston 512MB allready. Another 512 is been shopped nearly. Was it DDR1-2, no, what kind of ? Thanks

Now I had it, got my last guru and got fed up with this 8500LE. No games, no fun. No Video display. With SDL or without. All these common systems work and I'm satisfied with them.How come these (in topic)worked before??? Should I "back"-install the Pre-versions of os4?

What would be the best and most optical (Radeon?) graphics card for the A1XE today which is supported?

I could by one and dump the old one just for the sake of insanity... Or does the hopefully comming updates better the situation?

I've spent quite a lot for this hobby so a new graphics card isn't a big investment.

Should a Radeon 9xxx be better. Mine is telling now that 47
Mb is free so I assume it is a 64MB card. Then the upgrade should be even better with more mem;)

Oh there are these never ones at the shops so I could get a second hand for a few ?..

Just for curiosity if some wants I list the approximate prices + - few euros for an example:

Agp Asus Radeon 9250 128Mb 35?
Sapphire Radeon 9550 256Mb 60?
HIS Excalibur Radeon X850 Pro 256Mb 249?...

The Pci-Express seems to be the newer thing with 512 or 1024Mb usually but ona can dream about these stuck with APGx2 ;)

With defaults neither, at least I got the black screen now.. Maybe the Radeon 85000LE which is not supported? Before I could watch videos but not anymore. Call this progress.

If every Guru has switched to this forum I'll ask the same here as there is a Guru problem:

"Minor Issue" for me in os4Final I get Recoverable Alert Error 01000009 Task 0X691577.. in every four versions of MPlayer or a Grim Reaper.
Or no display, only sound for a second or so.
Guru Meditation 80000003 Task 0x69458200 Mplayer DSI error
and Snoopy files gets FAIL=LOCK envarc:Ahiemu10kxRecordBuffersize.1 SHARED
etc. also DVPlayer does not work. all with fresh startups. Some common problem
The ENV seem to fail in mostcases in Snoopys:s display. Could send a grab but don't find the button for it in IB.
Now to work, later on then.

Now tried DvPlayer with a real DVD, just a flash on the play button. Not very usefull at all.
Any ideas of this? Thanks.
