Don?t think the priorities are wrong, we need to get the OS up to standard first, then we can think about games. Right now I?m working on CW driver, because that is most important to me, when that is done how knows what I be doing. We are working on what they think is important like X11 / web browsers, graphic programs, some are working AWEB, IB, generally we are doing every thing we can to bring the platform back. There is a few obstacles when porting modern games, like missing API?s, like OpenAL, http://www.openal.org/

Yes only a few wires, on the top of the motherboard and under the motherboard, this is requierd fix in my option, but I believe you can get around the problem whit SIL controller like some did. There exist also an USB fix, some of the USB signals should be connected to resistors that should be grounded or connected to 5V DC (don?t remember) , I do not remember the details on that.

I tried amivnc4 -logfile=ram:bla and some other things, but it always halts. At least I could not recompile it, because I miss rules.make
More docs can be found at amivncs website http://s.guillard.free.fr/
It looks like it can write log file, run snoopdos ppc, to check where it tries to write it.

You will need a VNC client on your PC, to connect to you Amiga,

That's the one, saveenv.
For some reason, it's still automatically going into the UBoot preferences meaning I have to exit those before it boots, but I'l have a look at that tomorrow.
Thanks for the help everyone, FuZion.
Set all delays to 1, if you have less then one it will enter the UBOOT menu.

Because E-UAE do not support real partitions, so that kind of beats the point of even trying.

Running BasiliskII on UAE? That sounds pretty masochistic. I tried Basilisk II on my CSPPC+Voodoo3 and it didn't feel slow. I didn't test it much but it should be *much* faster than running it through UAE.
It where quite slow, on classic Amiga, Mac emulation is done by patching the Mac rom?s so there is not CPU emulation to think of, the problem is really the disk access speed of all things, emulating disk scsi as disk image on top of emulated filesystem.

The clock has been losing it's time a little, would that be the same battery? (Flat button things aren't they?).
Thanks for the replies guys. FuZion.
Yes that can be indication of dead battery, I have PC at work, if I have it on 24/7 the backup battery become drained and clock becomes complicity wrong, now I turn the computer off over night, I have no longer any problems whit that.

My understanding is that driver department is the problem for the classic Amiga computers, maybe you should wait.
I think the Mediator will work whit out DMA, so every thing you connect to it will work whit out DMA. Ethernet, Radion, and so on.

Couldn't it be generic ? Let's say we have this generic handler named TD64CompatibilityHandler then you instanciate this handler by giving it : - the device to make compatible ex a1ide.device, - the fake compatible device ex: a1ideTD64.device,
Then this generic handler will add to the system the new device (here a1ideTD64.device) and will redirect (after some wrapping) to a1ide.device. Just an idea...
I do not really know any thing about handlers, all I know is the device side of it. I think it?s possible to have program that generates fake devices. TD64 is quite simple; io_Actual is used to store the high 32 bit value io_HighOffset. TD_READ64=24 TD_WRITE64=25 TD_SEEK64=26 TD_FORMAT64=27

The AmigaOne is the best Amiga computer right now, (CPU speed, memory, USB, PCI, sound and disk speed)
I think the best classic Amiga is a 4000 whit some upgrades.
MC68060, SCSI, Cyber Graphics 3D, is where impressive at emulating Mac, and general usage, way do I like this setup, well the Amiga 4000 is the most complete computer of all classic Amiga models.
When you upgrade an A1200, you need change the cabinet and modify it, as well as there is number of crazy upgrade paths you most avoid.
But common for all fully upgraded Amiga models is that there is always some thing that pops out if of place, I think of the Amiga models as crazy computers, whit there none standard IO ports, and plugs.

I now own Heretic II, it great game, but there is some problems under OS4 update 4.
When I tried installing the installed stopped due to wrong version of Ixmul.library, so copied the demo exe files, I registered H2 and copied over the upgrade files from Hyperion.
Some time after loading the game it runs slow for 1 or tow 2 minute in software rendering and Warp3D mode, and then the game runs in full speed (no difference in low resolution or hi resolution screen modes).
I have Radion ATI RV7000, card, and on the second level there is swamp area whit lots of fog, its where hard viewing any thing but the Heretic II character, the same under water, I often switch to software render on when I have problems viewing the levels.
Is there anyway I can configure warp3d so that fog effect is turned off always?
I think the slowdown has some thing to do whit video mode sync, is there any way to change to different kind of sync?
