Now that AmigaOS 4 has floppy support via the A1floppy.device shouldn?t it be possible to write a mountlist to use Amiga floppies in LS120
On removable medias, like floppy disks the disk geometry is read from the device, the LowCyl and HiCyl is ignored from the mount list, if the device do not support the floppy drive or media inside it, then you can?t fix that whit a mount list. Geometry is the physical size of the disk, number of LowCyl, HiCyl, number of sectors per track, size of etch sector. Number of heads (number of sides).

@walkero First you need to get your IDE CDROM to act like SCSI device under Linux, this is done by configuring your Linux kernel whit SCSI support = YES, SCSI emulation = YES, then compile your self a new kernel. Now apply all patches need for AmigaONE (DMA patches and HI mem patch etc.) Make clean Make dep Make bzImage Make modules If your thinking about doing this on an AmigaOne, then you need to make your self a U-Boot kernelimage / bootimage, this done by downloading the U-Boot sourcecode, from www.SF.net, then you compile mkImage provided in that package, mkImage is used to make boot images for U-Boot. (DO NOT FLASH / UPGRADE YOUR U-BOOT WHIT SOURCE CODE YOU DOWNLOADED)

I?m happy that classic owners will be able to buy AmigaOS4 at some point, more developers for OS4 the better.

@ZeroG
It is the program counter of Collector that is in side the library, trying to turn off JIT on a library will probably have no effect, on the program that crashes in side library.

No you should not mix final and update 4 modules, go for dual boot option if this really is important to you, any way you can disable all drivers you do not use like the voodoo driver and the sii / sil drivers.

The RAMLIB thing is what tries to find and open a library or device, you might find out what library if you use snoopy.

@BobW
After a crash you can type "C:DumpDebugBuffer" in shell you can even do it after warm reboot, you can even get debug information provided by Grims and DebugPrintF, I think there is way to increases debug level in OS4, have look at kickstartlayout in update4 or the documentations on the OS4 install final CD
You can also try changing to best pio mode on your hard disks to see if that helps, if your getting GRIMS from AWEB / IB place post the stack trace part and the version number of programs and library?s in the stack trace.

@BobW Quote: (Phase 2) - I hooked up my A1 directly to my DLink DI-624 Wireless rounter and did the basic DHCP configuration for the A1's onboard network card. BAM! I could barely boot up the system. Hard freezes all over the place. Usually the system would freeze just after Workbench loaded but sometimes it would freeze during the black boot screen. If you connected your Amiga to uplink port then you need a cross over cable, you can?t use normal Ethernet cable, the black boot screen is most likely due long DHCP timeouts, adding run <>nil: to addinterfaces in startup sequence will most likely make your computer boot.

@Outcast
You better check the version of the avcodec library and DvPlayer, maybe try a older version or newer one, depending on what you have on your disk, if you have a newer one then I guess it?s time to wait until the problems is fixed.

@Outcast
Most likely a result of corrupted memory,
Anyway you better check what version of avcodec.library,
If you dock problems comes after you used DVPlayer then blame DVPlayer for that.
Ignoring DSI brings up the yellow flashing box
If you press Ignore DSI you allow it to over write illegal memory, as result you get yellow flashing box, next time press ?more?, and get the stack trace, stack traces often can tell you where the problem really is, maybe system library.

@Zettmaster
As suggested earlier missing or wrong MUI classes, download all MUI classes you can find for AmigaOS4 PPC, then overwrite the directory whit the Install CD, in case you have some 68000 versions installed, you might run md5 check, and maybe try listing the files whit elist found on OS4Depot.net, you probably should overwrite the files you have on you hard-disk the ones found on your OS4 install CD, but if there are any programs keeping locks on files in MUI directory then your not going to be able to replace them, so please boot from the install CD first! (Always reboot after installing system files unless you know no program has used the system files before.)
I think your problem might have some thing to do whit installing from diskimage mount tool, or not booting from install CD, before installing, if you did not do any thing after installing OS4 final, then it most likely a CRC error on your CD, try burning a new CD, NEVER USE CDRW disks.

Same problem whit the cw.device when I try to format an none standard disk format like 880k, I?m starting to believe there is problem whit CrossDOS and not my driver!
I think it might have some thing to do whit tracksizes, I have looked for memory read/write problems in cw.device but can?t find any, if memory corruption it most be in CorssDOS I think, works perfectly whit Amiga Fast Filesystem.
